"Hey, Marty," Jennifer asked, enthusiastically, "aren't you excited? I can hardly believe that we'll actually get a chance to meet Michael J Fox! He should be here real shortly."

"Oh, absolutely!" replied Marty. "I wonder what he'll think, as soon as he sees me."

"He might be a little shocked," suggested Jennifer. "I mean, I almost believe that you're cloned from him. You even have the same lopsided smile as he does. I wonder how he and Tracy Pollan are doing."

"It seems like, whenever I'm outside of Hill Valley," Marty said, smiling a little, "a lot of people mistake me for Michael J Fox. While that can be very flattering, it can also sometimes be a little frustrating. On the other hand, however, I must say that it is nice to receive special treatment from people who think that I'm Michael."

"I must say that I'm really nervous, though," Jennifer said, quietly. "I mean, I've never met Michael J Fox before. I heard that he's a very nice person - but what if he doesn't like me, for some reason."

"Relax, Jennifer," Marty said, gently. "I'm pretty sure he values all of his fans. Just try to act natural. He is a human being too, you know. It's not like you're meeting the Queen of England, or something."

"No, but I am meeting the king of acting," Jennifer replied. "I have always dreamed of this day, but I guess I have a little bit of the jitters. Heck, I was even really nervous when I met you from the first time."

"I have to admit that I'm a little nervous, too," Marty admitted, softly. "I think it's really great that Tracy has some relatives. I guess Michael J Fox will be starring in Jaws 5, once they finish filming the Mind Warped trilogy. I have to say that Mind Warped Part II is almost as good as the original film. I can hardly wait for the third film to be released. I sometimes wonder what it would be like to swap places with my counterpart from another reality."

"I can imagine that it would be rather confusing," Jennifer said, smiling. "It's maybe similar to how you felt when you first came back to 1985, from 1955 - before your memories came back to you."

"You're probably right," Marty replied, softly. "Although my childhood memories from the current timeline overrules my childhood memories from the original timeline - it sometimes gets a little confusing to think of my childhood."

Just then, there was a knock of the door. Marty and Jennifer went to answer it.

"Hello," said a man who looked just like Marty, "is your name Jennifer Parker?"

"Yeah, it is," Jennifer said, a bit shyly. "Are you, by any chance, Michael J Fox?"

"I sure am," the man said, smiling. "Just call me Mike, though." Mike then glanced over at Marty, and he said, "Oh, you must be Marty McFly! My agent did tell me that you look a lot like me, but it's like I'm looking into a mirror, or something. Pleased to meet you, Marty."

"It's a great pleasure to meet you, Mike," Marty said, as he shook Mike's hand. "Would you like something to drink? We have a few cans of Diet Pepsi. We also have some Oreo cookies."

"Oh, I would love a Diet Pepsi," Mike said, softly. "Oreo cookies sounds nice, too. I must say that I feel a little bit hungry. So you don't mind if I spend the night with you guys."

"Oh, no, I don't mind at all," Marty said, smiling. "We have a spare bedroom that you can sleep in. Some people may find it a little scandelous that we sleep together, even though we aren't married yet. We really couldn't care less what other people think of us, though. Imean, it's not like we're hurting anyone."

"Yeah, other people should just mind their own business," Mike agreed, nodding. "So I hear that you're in this band called The Pinheads. Am I correct?"

"Here's your Diet Pepsi, Mike," Jennifer said, smiling. "Yeah, Marty formed The Pinheads back when we were still in high school. We're hoping that he can achieve international success. Right now, it's only KKHV that plays any music that his band had recorded. We have high hopes for him, though."

"That sounds wonderful," replied Mike. "I myself played in a rock band called Halex for awhile, when I was still in high school. I eventually decided that acting was more for me, though. I do still play the guitar, though."

"We've really enjoyed your movie, Light of Day," Marty replied. "I think that your song, You've Got No Place To Go, is such a beautiful song. I love the way you sing. So what was it like to perform with Joan Jett."

"She was a great woman to work with," Mike replied. "I have to say that it was a nice break to be able to take on a few more serious roles. It seems like many people prefer for me to be in comedy, though."

"I think you do good in both comedy and drama," Jennifer replied. "I could never see you as a villian, though."

"I couldn't see exactly myself as a villian, either," Mike said, laughing. "It would be pretty hard for me to place myself in the shoes of someone who's supposed to be a bad guy."

"Hey, I wasn't questioning your acting skills," Jennifer replied, laughing. "It's just that you're such a nice guy, and it would be hard to imagine what you would be like in the role of a bad person."

"Yeah, I understand what you meant," Mike said, gently. Then, turning to Marty, he asked, "Would you mind if I gave your girlfriend a little massage? I could give you a little massage, as well."

"Sure, that would be fine," replied Marty. "I can trust you. Besides, I know that you're already married to Tracy."

"Yeah, Tracy is such a very wonderful wife," Mike said, smiling. "I still remember that day, however, that she lost her temper with me. It was my fault, though. I didn't realize that what I said was out of line."

"Well, nobody is perfect," Jennifer said, softly. "I mean, Marty and I sometimes fight, too." Then, as she listened to the radio, Jennifer added, "Oh, hey, listen! They're playing Harmony by The Pinheads. This is Marty's band!"

Everyone was quiet, as they listened to Marty singing the first verse of that song.

"Oh, Marty, that's such a beautiful song," Mike said, warmly. "I can tell that you have a lot of talent. So did you write this song yourself? With a song like this, I think you really do have a chance."

"Yeap, he wrote this song by himself," Jennifer said, with pride. "He also sang the song and played lead guitar."

"That's wonderful," gushed Mike. "Say, Marty, could I have a few of the albums that you recorded?"

"Oh, of course," replied Marty, happily. "Do you know how good this makes me feel? I mean, such a famous actor like yourself is actually complimenting me on my music. This is great, Mike."

"Hey, no problem," Mike said, smiling. "Say, could I have another Diet Pepsi? Do you two smoke, anyway?"

"Uh, no, we don't," replied Marty. "I never like cigarettes, and I really don't even like the smell of them."

"I'll take it outside, then," Mike offered. "I wouldn't want to make you two sick, and I would like to quite one of these days. It's just that, once you start smoking, it's really hard to stop. Tracy and I are both planning to warn little Sam about the dangers of smoking, as he grows up. It's a habit that I regret picking up, and I don't want to give teenagers the idea that it's good to smoke. That's why I don't like to be photographed smoking."

"That's very smart of you, Mike," Jennifer said. "I sometimes wish my dad would quite smoking. He did try to quit a few times, but it was always with failure. I guess quitting is harder than it looks."

"Yeah, it sure is," replied Mike. "I'm glad that I never picked up marijuana, or harder drugs."

"I'll admit it bothered me somewhat that you played some cocaine addict in Bright Lights Big City," Marty admitted. "On the other hand, though, the message behind the movie was that drugs are bad - so that's good."

"You're not the only one who feels that way," Mike said, smiling. "I agree that drugs are bad, though."

"So what would you like for dinner?" asked Jennifer. "I can make stuffed shells and garlic bread."

"Oh, that sounds wonderful," replied Mike. "I love stuffed shells, too. Those are good."

"Then, for dessert," Jennifer added, "we can make chocolate pudding with whipped cream."

"Oh, that sounds good," replied Mike. "Why don't you let me give you a massage first, though?"

"That sounds great," Jennifer said, smiling, as the trio headed towards the living room.

"I really have a good feeling about you, Marty," Mike said, as everyone was in the living room. "I mean, you appear to be real popular in Hill Valley - and the people at KKHV seem to like your music a lot. I would even put in a few good wordd about you, if you'd like."

"Oh, thank you so much, Mike," Marty gushed. "You really are such a kind person, you know. I can hardly wait to see you in the fifth installation of Jaws. I like all of your movies, even Teen Wolf."

"I'm quite embarrassed to have even considered acting in Teen Wolf," Mike said, grimacing a little. "I mean, I must say that I feel flattered that fans like me in that movie - but it's just not the high moment of my life."

"I never even realized that my suggestion for the fifth script would go over so well," Jennifer said, amazed. "Even though I know that Tracy Holt had relatives in the entertainment business, I never thought that my ideas would ever be so influential. I always was a big fan of the Jaws series, but this is so amazing."

"I think you're very creative, Jennifer," Mike said, admiringly. "Perhaps, you should consider being a screenwriter someday. I bet you would write really good movies."

"I'm really flattered that you feel that way, Mike," Jennifer said, beaming. "My major is in psychology, however. I have always dreamed of becoming a child psychologist, as I really love working with children. I've always been very interested in the field of psychology. There's just so much interesting stuff to learn."

"I happen to be very fond of children, myself," Mike replied. "I'll often spend time in the hospital, and extend my support towards the sick children and their families. My heart really goes out to these children, you know."

"You have a really big heart, Mike," Marty said, admiringly. "That's one thing I really admire about you, Mike. You are such a caring person, and I'm sure these children feel lucky to get a chance to know you."

"Sometimes, it's so easy to get trapped into the excesses of Hollywood life," Mike said, nodding. "It's really good to keep in mind to there are less-than-fortunate people in this world, and that I shouldn't take my life of stardom for granted. I really do enjoy acting a lot, and I really miss the cast that became close to on Family Ties."

"So, do you see yourself having a lot in common with Alex P Keaton, or not really?" asked Jennifer.

"Well, I've always been a political junkie," Mike replied, "so I certainly have that in common with him. However, I can't exactly say that I share Alex's political views. I tend to lean a bit moderate in my views."

"Yeah, I guess Alex can be pretty outspoken at times," Marty said, nodding, "and he can be rather old-fashioned, in regards to gender roles. I can see him frowning on the fact that young Doc liked to play with dolls. He does have a big heart, though - and he really does care for his family and friends."

"I think that's about the size of it," Mike said, nodding. "His attitude in regards to gender roles is maybe one of the lowest aspects of his personality. He's pretty tame, though, in regards to some other man I know. I mean, there are some men I know who could be described as 'misogynistic'. That word doesn't really describe Alex, though."

"Naa, he's not that bad," Marty said, smiling. "So, Mike, I was wondering something, if you don't mind."

"Go right ahead and ask me," Mike replied, smiling.

"I'm just wondering what your overall attitude is about the country," Marty replied, "and the people here."

"Oh, I love living in this country," Mike gushed. "I think you people here are great, and you're really hospitable. I may not always agree with everything your government does, but that's really no reason to throw out the baby with the bath water. As with Canada, and just about every other country, America has it pros and cons to it."

"It feels so good to hear you say that, Mike," Jennifer replied, warmly. "Sometimes, I feel ashamed to be a citizen of this country - because of the stereotype of how we're 'ignorant' or 'arrogant'. Know what I mean?"

"Oh, Jennifer, you shouldn't worry about it," Mike said, soothingly. "Just be the best person that you can be. That is all anyone can really ask you. You shouldn't feel ashamed to be an American. You people are great."

"Thank you so much, Mike," Jennifer said, as she threw her arms around him.

"There's really no need to thank me, you know," Mike said, as he hugged Jennifer back. "Everything I said is really true, Jennifer. You should be so insecure about being an American. America is beautiful."

"Yeah, Jennifer, Mike is right," Marty said, as he rubbed Jennifer's back. "Let's just think positive thoughts, all right? We should look at the positive side of life, you know."

"Your boyfriend is right, Jennifer," Mike added. "You should think positively. My wife sometimes has a problem with that, so I sometimes need to remind her to be optimistic. Say, why don't we have some ice cream? I could even go to the store, and everyone will probably think I'm Marty. How does that sound?"

"That sounds great," Jennifer said, smiling. "Just one more question, though, okay?"

"Sure, what is it, Jenn?" Mike asked, as he smiled back.

"Would you say that, overall," Jennifer asked, " there is harmony between the Canadians and the Americans?"

"Oh, of course!" replied Mike. "We're neighbours, after all. So what kind of ice cream would you like?"

"How does chip and mint sound?" Marty asked. "That's my favourite."

"Yeah, I'll have chip and mint, too," agreed Jennifer, smiling.

"All right then," Mike said, with his famous lopsided smile. "How about I pick up some chip and mint ice cream, and I'll also pick up some whipped cream and chocolate syrup? Does that sound good to you all?"

"It sure does," Marty said, smiling. "Thank you so much, Mike. That is such a wonderful treat."

"You're very welcome," replied Mike. "I should be back in about half an hour. You two are such wonderful company."

Mike hugged Marty and Jennifer one more time, before he went out to pick up some ice cream.

"Well, isn't Mike such a wonderful person?" Jennifer asked Marty. "This has got to be the best night of my life!"

"I was almost tempted to tell him that I met Alex P Keaton," Marty said, smiling. "I wonder what he would think, if he found out that he played me in a movie called Back to the Future in other universes."

"I think he would be really stunned," Jennifer said, smiling. "We shouldn't tell him anything about our secret. Doc would not like it - and, besides, this might just put Mike in a state of shock."

"Yeah, that would not be good," Marty replied. "Well, I can hardly wait for Mike to get back. I feel very flattered that he thinks so highly of our music. Maybe there really is hope for me, Jennifer."

"Well, at least we're not going to get married in the Chapel O' Love," Jennifer said, smiling.

"Yeah, and we're also not going to be living in Hilldale," Marty added. "We already know what becomes of that place in thirty years. I wonder if we'll still see Jaws 19 in 2015, with that hologram shock."

"We'll probably have to wait and find out through the natural course of time," Jennifer replied.

Marty smiled at Jennifer, as he realized just how bright his future was looking.

As soon as Marty woke up, he could smell something really delicious coming from the kitchen. As Marty looked to the side, he was surprised to see that Jennifer was still next to her sleeping. This could only mean one thing. He went into the kitchen, and he saw that Michael J Fox was preparing breakfast.

"Oh, good morning, Marty," Mike said, smiling his famous lopsided smile. "I just felt like baking something special for the two of you. This is my mom's specialty, and it's always been my favourite."

"Oh, thank you, Mike," Marty replied, also smiling his usual lopsided smile. "So what are you baking?"

"It's coffee cake," Mike replied, "with lots of cinnamon in it. So is Jennifer still sleeping?"

"Yeah, she was still sleeping when I woke up," Marty replied. "She's really not a morning person, so I didn't wanna wake her up. I have to say it's a great pleasure meeting you, Mike."

"Breakfast won't be ready for another half hour, anyway," Mike explained. "So could you give me some copies of your albums? I'll put in a really good word for you. I promise."

"That would be so awesome, Mike," Marty replied. "So which of our songs would you say is your favourite?"

"I would have to go with Harmony," Mike said, admiringly. "It's a very beautiful song, and it has a really prolific message to it. If anyone really cares to hear my opinion, I think that song should become your first national hit."

"That's one of my favourites as well, Mike," Marty replied. "One day, I was watching the news on TV - and there was this tragic news about a little girl who was treated so horribly by her very own mother, so she had to be placed in foster care. I remember crying my eyes out, because my heart really went out to her."

"I wonder if we're talking about the same little girl," Mike said, nodding. "I even felt compelled to pay this girl a visit, and I remember holding her tightly and crying. She kept telling me not to cry, and that everything was all right now. She was so sweet, which just made me cry all the more. It's sad how her mother mistreated her."

"Well, I really hope everything is going okay for her, now," Marty said, sighing. "I remember being very distressed over the news. I mean, children are very precious - and no child should have to endure that kind of torment."

"Last time I heard," Marty said, smiling, "she was adopted by a very loving family. I am so happy for her - but she never should have had to endure such abuse from her own mother."

"Good morning!" called out a familiar female voice, cheerfully. "What are you baking, Marty?"

"Actually, Jennifer," Marty said, smiling, "Mike is the one that's baking breakfast for us. He decided to bake some coffee cake for us, using his mother's recipe. My mouth is really watering, now!"

"Oh, Mike, that's wonderful!" gushed Jennifer. "It's been so wonderful having you inside our house. It really would be wonderful if we could see you, again."

"I wish I had met the two of you sooner," Mike replied, as he hugged Jennifer. "I could swear that Marty and I must be distant relatives. It's a lot like looking at a mirror, you know. He has a lot of musical talent, as well."

"Well, my ancestors come from Ireland," Marty replied. "I understand that your ancestors are from Scotland?"

"Well, I might have a little bit of Irish blood in me," Mike replied. "I have such a great feeling about the two of you. Just try to keep a positive attitude towards life. When you do become famous, though, never think that you are better than other people. Remember that we stars are just as human as everyone else."

"I'll remember that, Mike," Marty said, as he hugged Mike. "Thank you so much for believing in me. This really does mean a lot to me to know that you admire my musical talent. I still remember how, four years ago, that one audition judge who looked like Huey Lewis was not impressed with our music at all. He actually said that we were 'too loud'. I remember being so distressed that day, and I was afraid to send in my demo tape to the record company."

"You shouldn't let other people's negative opinions get you down, Marty," Mike said, gently. "I myself know what it is like to be rejected. I have been denyed certain roles, because people said that I was too short. Do you have any idea how that kind of rejection feels? I mean, I can't help it if I'm short. That's just the way God made me."

"Being a short guy myself," Marty replied, "I know very well how that feels. On the positive side, though, Jennifer and I are close to the same height. She's only two inches shorter than I am."

"Tracy is two inches taller than me," Mike said, sighing. "I mean, I really don't resent the fact that she's taller - but I sometimes feel that people are looking at us oddly. People used to always tease me about so short."

"I think you both look so cute, though," Jennifer gushed. "I've always been very attracted to short men. You should never feel so insecure about your height."

"Yeah, I realize that, now," Mike said, nodding. "There was a time when I was a bit overweight, because I would eat a lot. I thought that maybe eating more would make me a little taller, but it just made me bigger the other way."

Just then, the timer went off, causing Marty and Jennifer to jump up.

"Oh, yeah, that's just the timer," Mike said, as he headed towards the oven. "The coffee cake should be about ready to eat. Why don't we listen to one of your albums while we eat, Marty?"

"That sounds great," Marty replied, as he headed towards the living room.

oooooooooo

"Thank you so much for breakfast, Mike," Marty said, as he hugged the actor. "That was such a wonderful treat."

"So are you sure you don't want any money for those tapes?" Mike asked, as hugged Marty back.

"Yeah, I'm very sure," Marty replied, smiling. "Your presence in our apartment is treat enough. You know, Mike, I'm so sad to see you go already. I hope we can meet again, someday."

"We certainly will," Mike promised. "You have such a promising future ahead, Marty. I'm quite sure Tracy will enjoy your music a lot, as well. You sure know how to put a lot of feeling into your music. I especially found Harmony to be very well-written and inspired. That song really moved me a lot, Marty."

"Thank you so much, Mike," Marty said, as he led Mike to his car. "Have a safe trip back home, okay, Mike?"

"Thanks for your wonderful hospitality," Mike replied. "Marty, when you become rich and famous, you can count on me to be your number one fan. Will you remember that?"

"Of course, Mike," Marty replied. "Say 'hi' to Tracy for us, all right? Just tell her that we really enjoyed her as Ellen in Family Ties. I would be nice to see her do some more acting in the future."

"I'll make sure to pass the message on," replied Mike. He then hugged Jennifer, and he said, "If you ever feel like taking a break from psychology, you should maybe consider writing a screenplay. I'll be looking so forward to being about to star in Jaws 5: The Rising. You should feel so proud of yourself."

"Thank you so much, Mike," Jennifer said, as he hugged Mike tightly.

Marty and Jennifer then watched Mike step into his car, and they watched him take off.

"You know, Jennifer," Marty said, sighing, "I'm starting to miss Mike already."

"Yeah, he is a very wonderful man," Jennifer agreed. "I would much rather marry you, however. You are the man of my dreams, after all. Well, Doc is right. You're future is whatever you make it."

Marty just smiled at Jennifer, as he put his arms around her shoulders. The two of them silently stepped into their apartment together. Marty would make it a point to cherish the advice that Mike gave him.
