Title: Pirates Of The Caribbean

Who enjoyed this movie, and thought it was fairly decent? I enjoyed it, partly because I love action. Now, all you Orlando Bloom haters, you've got to admit he was OK at acting in this movie. I've seen much worse. So please, no vile threats.

I thought the swordfight between Jack Sparrow and Will Turner was pretty cool. Also, I liked the part where all the skeletons ambushed the Navy.

Don't post if you didn't enjoy the movie, please. I don't want people here saying:

It's a stupid kids movie! I can't believe you actually like it! Come on!

Because would you like people saying that about BTTF? No. So don't do it to this, please.

I haven't seen it yet! :(

I thought it was okay, but not worth the hype. The movie was way too long--had they tightened the movie a bit, I might've liked it more. But two and a half hours? Please. I can sit through three hour long movies that are good (like LOTR) but this one just didn't cut it.

I know you only wanted people who liked it to reply, but I had to throw in my two cents: not worth the hype.

^Well, I do agree with you that it was pretty long. They probably should have put more of a twist on it to keep people from falling asleep. I know what you mean - even though I enjoyed it I was getting tired. But the same thing happened to me at Return of the King. What kind of person am I? I sleep through epic battle scenes. :o

That Johnny Depp's a good actor.......plus the dead pirates looked good to me. I though that at some parts it was a little boring but it added to the story. Johnny Depps acting and comedy lines saved it. I give it a 8-9 out of 10.

I know, Johnny Depp was great. Jack Sparrow was my favorite character.

Also, the CG work was good too.
I liked the way they designed the Black Pearl.

It was okay, just not special.

But that kind of thing is rare in movies nowadays, anyway.

I thought it was the best swashbuckling movie I have seen. It has some of the best composed music of the year in it. The special effects I feel are amazing, especially the crew of the Black Pearl when they were in the moonlight. the action scenes were the best. for example when the Black Pearl is chasing the Inteceptor and the crew of the Inteceptor lower the ancher and the ship spins around. Also when the Inteceptor gets blown up. Amazing

I personally think the best part was after Barbasrrossa raids the town, and Jack and Will are trying to escape . With the air trapped in the boat: that is not unreal! As long as the boat was sealed up tight, you can actually do it!
Law of physics: I water, air goes up. So you can actually "trap" air.
And when the Interceptor comes and all the crew boards, and they switch. That's the best part.
And the action scenes, of course.

You summed it up perfectly. The score is fabulous - really worthy of the film.

It's a rare thing, an adventure film as good as this. The only others I can think of are Indiana Jones, The Mummy and of course BTTF (although not quite the same thing!)

That scene where all the pirates are walking under the water! Brilliant!

To be honest, I never noticed that the film was so long when I first saw it - I sat there spellbound throughout!

I can't wait for POTC 2... Dead Man's Chest I think it's going to be called... or Treasures of the Lost Abyss.

Hopefully it will be even better than the first one, but I'm not sure if they can pull it off...

Me neither. But I did see another Bruckheimer production instead of that one. It was National Treasure...

That's right - they have a lot to live up to. I don't see how it could be as good, but I hope it is & can't wait to see it! :D
