Title: Alphabet Game
Aaron - October 13, 2006 01:29 PM (GMT)
This game doesn't seem to exist on here, so I'll give it a go. Every post must beging with the next letter in the alphabet. So if the previous post started with "A", the next post must start with "B." I'll start (and bold the letter I'm starting with, which I guess will be A).
...
Anyone think this will be a fun game, or just stupid? I stole it from Whose Line as well!
discokev - October 13, 2006 03:17 PM (GMT)
But tell me Aaron,
Because the rules are not clear,
Can we write what we like,
Or does it have to go somewhere?
Aaron - October 13, 2006 03:26 PM (GMT)
Can I explain?
Talk about whatever you want. I also don't think we should have to make it all one sentence, because that can be rather difficult. Just as long as the post itself starts with the next letter, it should be fine. (Unless you think it should be that way, to make the game harder?)
discokev - October 13, 2006 03:33 PM (GMT)
Do tell me then, if all I had posted this time was the letter D, my post would have started with the correct letter so would it have been acceptable?
Aaron - October 13, 2006 03:37 PM (GMT)
Eh. Kinda defeats the purpose of the game, doesn't it?
In fact, I'm making a rule that you can't do that. You have to post something. So yes, starting thinking of words that begin with "X" now!
In other words, your post should keep whatever conversation is going on at the time flowing somehow.
discokev - October 13, 2006 03:40 PM (GMT)
Forgive me for being dumb Aaron but I was not aware that the game had any sort of purpose!!
Aaron - October 13, 2006 03:44 PM (GMT)
Give me a break, Kev! I don't see you creating any interesting topics!
It would be cheap to just post a letter, or even post a letter and then write your post. What's the fun in that?
discokev - October 13, 2006 03:46 PM (GMT)
How do you know that I wouldn't find that fun Aaron!
Aaron - October 13, 2006 03:52 PM (GMT)
I don't know! I think it's more fun to try to come up with statements that start with the next letter, than to just post a letter! What a boring game that would be!
discokev - October 13, 2006 04:50 PM (GMT)
Just because something's easy doesn't mean it isn't fun Aaron!! :P
Aaron - October 13, 2006 04:59 PM (GMT)
Know what? The easier something is, the less special it is. Anyone can type the alphabet. Hopefully this is a bit more fun than that! (If not, wow, this topic must suck! )
Aaron - October 15, 2006 03:20 PM (GMT)
LOL! Guess the alphabet game sucks! Well, at least I tried!
LonePineKath - October 15, 2006 09:24 PM (GMT)
Maybe you were just missing a few key players to keep the ball rolling! Give it a chance, Aaron!
Aaron - October 15, 2006 11:21 PM (GMT)
Now you're gone for a week again, Kath! Maybe someone else will help keep it going!
discokev - October 16, 2006 05:56 AM (GMT)
Or alternatively it'll sit quiet for 5 days until Kath returns...
Aaron - October 16, 2006 04:07 PM (GMT)
Perhaps it isn't a fun enough game for you to play, Kev!
Too good for my game, huh? <_<
;)
discokev - October 16, 2006 04:48 PM (GMT)
Quiet please, I'm trying to think of something starting with Q...
Aaron - October 16, 2006 04:52 PM (GMT)
Really, if you can't think of anything, maybe we'd better just skip it.
discokev - October 16, 2006 04:53 PM (GMT)
Sounds like a plan to me...
Aaron - October 16, 2006 05:00 PM (GMT)
Time is an illusion, Kev, or so I've heard. Lunchtime doubly so.
discokev - October 16, 2006 05:11 PM (GMT)
Unless I'm much mistaken I've heard that too Aaron!!
Aaron - October 16, 2006 05:26 PM (GMT)
Very interesting, Kev! But I haven't finished the book yet, so don't tell me how it ends!
discokev - October 16, 2006 05:30 PM (GMT)
What book Aaron?
Aaron - October 16, 2006 05:38 PM (GMT)
Xerox copy! I'll send you a xerox copy of it if you wish. But seriously, you must know which book I'm talking about! Would be shocked if you didn't!
discokev - October 16, 2006 05:41 PM (GMT)
You should prepare yourself to be shocked then Aaron!!!
Aaron - October 16, 2006 05:45 PM (GMT)
Zero percent was the chance I gave to you not knowing it, Kev! I thought you were a fan of H2G2!
discokev - October 16, 2006 06:28 PM (GMT)
Am I being really thick Aaron?? I can't even work out what H2G2 stands for!!!
Aaron - October 16, 2006 06:40 PM (GMT)
Boy, I guess you've never read Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy then, Kev?
discokev - October 16, 2006 06:44 PM (GMT)
Aaron - October 16, 2006 06:51 PM (GMT)
Did you know it's one of Kath's favorite books? That saying is the motto on her myspace!
discokev - October 16, 2006 06:57 PM (GMT)
Eventually you get to where I recognise the quote from Aaron!!!
Aaron - October 16, 2006 07:01 PM (GMT)
Funny how you remembered it, isn't it? I need to finish the book, but I feel any free time for reading should be spent on books for school!
discokev - October 16, 2006 07:05 PM (GMT)
Guess I remember the quote as I've seen it in Kath's signatures here and at bm in the past I think, just never realised where it came from!!
Aaron - October 16, 2006 07:09 PM (GMT)
Hope you remember from now on! Am surprised you didn't know already, though!
discokev - October 16, 2006 07:11 PM (GMT)
I guess you learn something new every day!
Aaron - October 16, 2006 07:13 PM (GMT)
Just do it! is another of Kath's mottos. Or is that Nike? I can't remember ...
discokev - October 16, 2006 07:16 PM (GMT)
Kev can tell you that is definately a Nike logo!!
Aaron - October 16, 2006 07:20 PM (GMT)
Lordy, I hope you don't think so much of yourself that you will now speak in third person!
discokev - October 16, 2006 07:31 PM (GMT)
Me? I will speak however it helps me play the game!!
Aaron - October 16, 2006 09:37 PM (GMT)
No, the guy talking in third person behind you!
