Title: Cosplay Magic

Have any of you ordered from this website? I'm curious to see if you have, and how your experience was.

I haven't... Just because it's so pricey. I'm making my own cosplay again this year and saving myself the money.
DigiGirlMimi - July 22, 2008 10:08 PM (GMT)
I haven't before... but looking at their website, things look rather inaccurate and poor quality.

I never have but it's really pricey and I'm broke. Plus the quality is really low on a lot of the costumes

I haven't ever ordered from them, and I probably never will.
They're pricey and most of their costumes are pretty inaccurate and aren't made very well.
It's less expensive to make your own cosplay costumes. *nods*

For the love of all that is holy, DON'T DO IT! O_O
Their costumes suck... I've never bought from them, thank goodness, but they don't look that great and they are WAAAAAAY overpriced. Seriously. You shouldn't have to pay over $150 for something that isn't made of pure leather.

If you're looking for a quality store just go to here.
http://www.fan-store.net/servlet/StoreFrontYou can tell that it's really good quality just by looking at Kyon's uniform, or Ulquiorra.

I've ordered from there once, but it was only for accessories. So far, they've held up nicely, though... I would've liked to pay less for what I got. Stupid things made in Asia that are over priced.
Not to mention there's a HUGE DELAY in shipping! Seriously, it took them 3 weeks to ship a simple Cloud Fenrir badge, two earings, and a little pin!
CKatBentkowski - August 3, 2008 05:30 PM (GMT)
Yeah, unless someone is hand making every costume out of quality fabric, it's not worth the prices.

Yes and no, it does depend on the manufacturing method. I hand make my costumes all myself, so, when I quote a price, it's sometimes more expensive than Cosplay Magic. But, here's the difference; they're HAND-MADE, as accurate as I can get them, made to last a minimum of 3 ENTIRE conventions (repair of manufacturing flaws is free), and I tell you what the fabric costs and give you fabric options to get the most for your investment.
They mass manufacture using sweat labor or machines, I'm sure, and nowhere on the site do they tell you the fabrics.
