-- General -- Full Name: Ysobel Allegra Ramirez Nicknames: Ysie, Ramirez and Chica(by her man) Age: 28 Gender: Female Allegiance: Law Enforcement
-- Appearance -- Play-By: Michelle Rodriguez Image: Height & Weight Height- 5’6”. Weight- 125 pounds Distinguishing Features: None Detailed Appearance: Ysobel stands 5’6” tall, which compared to her colleagues, is rather small, since they are mostly six-foot-something males. Her body is fit, with lean toned arms and legs and a flat stomach, from constant training. Don’t be confused, she isn’t the slightest bit bulky in stature and her abs aren’t exactly six-packs but they do meet department regulations and keeps her butt from getting shot on the job. You can imagine with working out so much she isn’t exactly stacked in the breast department, but unlike some women who work out till they disappear, Ysobel happens to like her breasts even though they aren’t the biggest.
Her skin is naturally tanned, though can get a bit paler in the cold weather. Her almond-shaped eyes are dark brown and almost match the colour of her hair, which is dark brown and black. When wet her entire head seems sleek and entirely black in colour. Her hair is naturally wavy. At work her hair is kept back in a tight neat bun or braid pinned underneath. You can’t afford to have strands falling in front of your sight when trying to take out a hostage-taker now can you? Outside of work she likes wearing it open or in a loose ponytail. Her face is a soft oval with high cheekbones and thin lips. Her nose and teeth are average, nothing particularly special about them and in her mind are her nose is her worst feature.
When it comes to her clothing style its usually pants, uniforms or regulation wear when she’s at the station. She adores her dark blue threads and her bullet-proof vest; it’s saved her life more than once. Outside the office, she still likes pants but will throw in a short skirt as well, but nothing frilly and girly, it’s not her thing. She likes leather, boots, mostly dark colours, earth tones and white. Her clothes tends to be on the form fitting side, it helps remind those who may forget because of her very masculine job, that she is in every way a female. She cannot afford the expensive stuff, not on an officer’s salary, so she knows how to find a bargain. There aren’t any trust funds out there for her, every dime she spends she has to make for herself.

Detailed Personality: At work Ysobel is perceived as just another one of the guys. She drinks with them, cracks jokes with them and kicks their butts in training from time to time. She is as bullet-proof to anyone’s criticisms and chauvinistic responses to her presence in the group, as her Kevlar vest and she always as a quick response for them. She takes no bull from anyone, and refuses to be pigeonholed by them. She is who she is and this is what she wants to do. Like it or not she’s here to stay. Her personality has gained her a welcomed spot amongst most of her male counterparts but there are those who would rather see her off the team, such as her partner. When dealing with Declan, Ysobel has one policy, get the job done and keep the talk to a minimal. He is one of the few people who constantly push her buttons and pisses her off almost constantly with his remarks, but she can handle him and know how to push his buttons to get a rise out of him as well.
During a crisis, where her skills as a SWAT officer are needed, she is focused, driven and alert. Her focus is unwavering and she isn’t afraid to bend the rules a bit if it sees a smooth resolution to the situation. She cares what happens to the people who are trusting in her to save their lives and she takes that very seriously.
Outside of work Ysie is a very laidback woman. She shoots pools with the guys; she drinks beer and knows how to have a good laugh and a good time. She tries not to let anything bother her but still carries that tough exterior from work with her into the everyday world, but as people who know her have come to realise, it isn’t an act, she is tough. She could not have gotten through her father leaving, her brother getting incarcerated and her mother’s death, if she weren’t tough.
She loves an adrenaline rush, anything that gives her that buzz is what she likes, and that’s why she owns and rides a motorcycle and dates a man who has NOS in his veins. She is completely confrontational if need be, even at a risk to herself. She can’t stand seeing people picking on others and if she can do something to stop it she will.
When it comes to her relationships, Ysie is as passionate about them as she is about her work. She dedicates herself to that person, but doesn’t take it kindly if that dedication is abused. She hates a cheat, there is nothing she can’t stand more, and will drop a guy like a hot potato and never look back for such a betrayal. She finds Dante’s wandering eye an annoyance and checks him on it regularly. She can be a bit jealous at times, after all when you have little Barbie looking women flaunting their stuff at every turn and they happen to flaunt it in your man’s face and he takes notice, you have a right to be.
In all, Ysie is fun to be around but don’t step on her toes or you’ll be sorry for it. If you remember not to be an ass, then the two of you will get along perfectly, otherwise, stay out of her face.
-- History -- Date of Birth: October 8th Hometown: South-Central LA, California Parents: Inez Ramirez and Hernando Sanchez Siblings: Brothers: Christian Ramirez (29), Carlo Ramirez (deceased) Hernando Ramirez (31) Sisters: Anamaria Santos (29), Carolina Ramirez (24) Children: None Other Relatives of Importance: None
Happiest Memory: “My first boy-girl party was probably my happiest memory. It was my eighteenth, my mum never could afford to give us parties but she always thought eighteen was an age to be celebrated…becoming an adult. At least she saw it that way. I was seeing Gregory Nunez at the time and when my parents disappeared and left us in the backyard with the low lights, we had our first slow dance. It was probably the only time he ever saw me in a dress and I guess it shocked him cause the next thing I know he had me pressed against a wall with his tongue in my mouth. It was our first real make-out session and I loved it. It was also our last; he was shot and killed a week later.”
Worst Memory: “Watching my mum die of cancer was the worst memory for me. She’d been suffering with cervical cancer for a long time, and I worked double time to afford her treatments. In the end she wasted away to nothing and she was in so much pain. Geez, she used to cry so much, and there was nothing I could do. It was the first time I ever felt completely helpless. When she died it was a mixture of relief that she was out of pain, and agony, to lose the one person who had always loved me.”
Life-Changing Experience: “The first time I got shot is the only answer to that question. The local PD called us in when a bank robbery went to hell and they needed more fire power to get things settled. We got everything sorted, I mean it was basic. All of a sudden this guy pops up from behind a counted and fires a shot gun at me. It hit me full in the chest, would have killed me if it wasn’t for the Kevlar. That’s when it hit me…my mortality. I think before then I wanted to think nothing could touch me as long as I kept going and working. I learned that even when you go by the books, you can still get killed.”
Detailed History: Inez Ramirez and Hernando Sanchez always knew they’d never marry, but what they never imagined was that they’d stay together for twenty-one years and have four children. Inez was maid for a wealthy family and Hernando was a mechanic and owned small shop not far from there home. The house they lived in was a small little space with a small backyard, that had been Hernando’s mother’s till she died leaving him in residence. Ysobel was the first girl and her mother’s favourite. She was named after her grandmother who passed while Inez was pregnant with her. They weren’t the most conventionally or wealthy family but they had love, and that was enough. They made not having that much fun, and were always finding some new inexpensive way to have a good time. You would be surprised what you can do with some duct tape, some tubes, an old bed sheet and foil.
The Ramirez children kept their heads in the books and tried their best to overcome their meagre beginnings, Inez wanted them to have a better life than cleaning someone else’s toilet. They did well in school but underneath everything wasn’t so perfect. Carlo had gotten himself mixed up in a gang unbeknownst to anyone; he was fourteen at the time. Two years passed before anyone found out, and that was only because Carlo made the fatal error of participating in a robbery. He was the lookout in the store when gunfire broke out and the clerk was shot. The others took off but Carlo couldn’t leave the elderly gentleman who he was used to seeing every time he went to buy groceries for his mother. He stayed behind and got himself arrested for it. The man died and Carlo found himself with a lengthy jail sentence.
The Ramirez family changed after that, they weren’t as happy anymore and their parents began to fight all the time, each blaming the other for how Carlo had turned out as he did. Hernando went on to get a scholarship and go to Texas, but he made sure to stay in contact with his twin. Carlo’s incarceration was what inspired Ysobel to become a police officer; she wanted to stop the vicious cycle of killing and going to jail. She wanted to make a difference. When she graduated from school with a scholarship, she decided to join the police force. Her parents were livid. Hernando didn’t want a cop for a daughter; he wanted her to be safe. However there were no words to deter her, Ysobel was going to be a police officer.
She’d been in training a year when her father left. After so many years of being together, Hernando had enough of fixing other people’s cars and having his children disappointment him. The fights between him and Inez had only grown worse and he knew it was time to go before something regrettable happened. He stayed in contact with his family, but Ysobel never wanted to see him again. Her father’s leaving was the ultimate betrayal in her opinion, even worse that Carlo being in a gang. He was destroying the family.
When she graduated and was sworn in as an officer, her mother and siblings were there to watch; only Carlo was missing. Her father never showed, and she never noticed. She spent the next six years as a beat officer, and during that time was in a very intense relationship with one of the detectives, Sam Rickman. Sam was an intense man, things always had to go his way and he always had to be doings something, plus he was a great lover. She adored it. Sadly things didn’t work, Sam became too intense and a little obsessed with her. Eventually things would end with her being transferred and Sam getting a restraining order filed against him. During that time, her mother was diagnosed with cancer, and Ysobel began pulling extra shifts to help her brother and sister pay for her care. Watching her mother suffer was the most painful experience of her life, and when she died, it was the most heartbreaking.
She wasn’t an exemplary officer, she didn’t smile and help old ladies across the street, she was a serious cop and knew how to get dirty if she had to, and wasn’t afraid to do it. Her tactics and her no bullshit attitude made her liked amongst her colleagues but marked her with the brass. Eventually she got tired of the beat and applied for SWAT detail. It was the ultimate rush and her heart’s desire. However, the brass weren’t exactly thrilled with her application, both as a female and for the number of excessive force charges filed against her. Eventually, after six attempts, she finally got recruited.
SWAT school was the most intense, gruelling and body battering experience of her life, but she loved it. The day they past their final exam and she was officially a SWAT officer, she bought the team six rounds at their favourite bar and they all got drunk that night. She stayed with the team until she moved to New York, two years ago. Ysobel wanted to see something more than LA’s streets but wanted some place with enough action to satisfy her, New York was an obvious choice.
She met Dante her first day there, he helped her carry her boxes into her apartment. He was just her type, unconventional, a bit crazy and very hot; better yet he was straightforward about what he thought of her. They went out for the first time three days later and have been together ever since. However, time has passed and Dante’s ways are coming to light, all of which she can stand except his roving eye. There would be hell to pay if she ever found out he cheated on her, hell and more. On her work front, she’s just been assigned a new partner Declan Brogan, a man who thinks women’s only place in the force is sitting behind a desk or typing up reports. Needless to say these two clash on a regular basis, but only time will tell if they will eventually put their differences behind them.
-- Little Extras -- RP Sample: ((From Jessica Minkler)) The sound of DJ Sammy’s Tiesto’s Touch Me was blaring through the club; it was the theme music for Gypsy the girl currently doing a split on the stage. Nicole sat in her backroom with the other dancers applying her make up. “Is she ever going to get a new song?” she asked Beverley the woman beside her, “It gets old fast when you play it every other night,” she added as she carefully lined her lips in burgundy liner to pull out the bright red lipstick. “Come on Jesse, not everyone has as great a musical ear as you,” the woman teased. Jesse laughed and pouted her lips in the mirror playfully. “There I’m done. How do I look?” she asked as she stood and disrobed.
Jesse was clad in all black leather from head to toe; thigh high boots, a black latex jump suit that had been painted on her body earlier that afternoon. She turned around for Bev to see the back and then faced her again. “Smashing darling! You’ll get those little boys going out there.” She laughed. Bev, had been working in the stripper game for just a few months but she and Jesse had become fast friends; the almost vet giving the newbie some direction. “Jesse,” Bev asked hesitantly, “do you plan to do this forever?” she asked tentatively. Jesse gave her a half smile, she really hadn’t thought about it. “Why? You tired of this already?” she asked laughing, but the look on Bev’s face made her stop, the girl needed assurance that she wasn’t going to get stuck there like so many, that when she was thirty and forty she wouldn’t be trying to get someone to hire her at some sloppy dive.
Jesse swivelled her seat over to Beverly, “Bev…don’t worry okay. You aren’t going to be here forever and neither am I. You haven’t been here that long, something else will come along for you I know it. As for me? I do this because I like it.” It sounded odd almost to say those words, she never admitted that she actually liked stripping before, at least not out loud. The look on Bev’s face said it all, she couldn’t image anyone liking that kind of work, but it was true, Jesse liked it. “You keep your goal in mind, university, a big office job, and when you get here don’t you think of this place again okay? You get there and you forget Guss and Aggie and Donna and me, and you go out there and have the best life you can, cause that’s all we get.” She held Bev’s chin in her hand, the younger woman looking at her with a smile.
“Jesse…you’re up in one!” Donna called from behind her. She smiled at Bev again. “Well I’ve got to go. See you in a few,” she said with a wink as she slipped on the black leather fireman’s coat and hat, and headed up the flight of stairs to the stage. She took her position, head down, legs apart fire hose in her hand and then the music started. Aaliyah’s Hot Like Fire began to play and her hips began to move as she raised her head and tossed the fire hat aside to the thunderous applause of her fans. She felt that surge of adrenaline and then she was alone, just her and the stage and she was hot…like fire.
Rule Confirmation: Reading the rules just for the sake of finding a secret phrase is wrong. You should take the time to read the rules through fully because it alleviates a lot of pain and suffering down the line.
