Title: Betta Mahachai x B. splendens DTCT
Description: Something in the works

AnneRiceBowl - January 18, 2007 03:38 PM (GMT)
I have been trying to cross a Betta Mahachai male with a red Cambodian DTCT female. She's so big that he's having a hard time getting any eggs out of her. I had originally housed them together because I had no where else to put the male. I don't know if anything will come of the pairing, but it will be interesting if they accomplish spawning.

Can you take a picture of them? I don't know what a Mahachai looks like.

LOL...no Yeev! I have another Mahachai male that's now in a 20 gallon long with the Mahachai female. They had another spawn yesterday.

yeevia2006 - February 1, 2007 11:27 AM (GMT)
You got spawn from them right? Got frys yet? :lolo:

AnneRiceBowl - February 1, 2007 06:39 PM (GMT)
No fry from them yet. I think the female is too old. I've had her for about a year. These 2 will soon be seperated though. I see them wrapping at least once a day, so I don't want the two to be too stressed and worn out from spawning all the time.

What ever happened here? I'd really be interested to hear.
