Yes, he is crossing from dragons to heavy mask metallic hmpk. They are very easy to breed too. You might think about the price. It is high for me. You might as well email the seller and asking him for a deal after the auction closed. I don't think anyone will buy for that price. You will even get a great price for a pair too like haeun. She also getting a great deal after the auction closed from the same seller too. ;)
Yes, this betta is very nice, strong heavy thick body and the fins are balance all over. If the fins a bit longer all over, that will be great. :Y I hope this information helps. Can get it, it just the price still high. Go knock down half price. :WOU

yea thanks for the replies I've tried talking to the seller but I think he/she doesn't understand english very well so I'm having trouble getting answer. Is crossing make them less valuable or less wanted in the betta trade, and also would it be better to breed to his sister or an unrelated female. Thanks again for the help.

Try to write like a kid with simple english to easily understandable. Make it as plain, short and not complicated. Yes, English for them is very hard since their culture is Thai and not all of them know english.
As for right now, people have a tendency like fancy dragon hmpk. You can't get it at petco or petmart. But when everyone breeding them, then it will be a big issue. As for color wise, it is everywhere and it is depends everyone what color they like. Still the blue section are very demanding compare to the red. ;) As for IBC, they prefer the original type of bettas because they want to preserve those bettas else they be gone and hardly can get back those species. Once you crossed, you will never get back to where it is belong. In the other hand, if crossed, they get new type of fancy bettas.
I personally like fancy since I love colors. It is better be contrast too. :cat
