Title: Silver Penny

SandyMushCowgirl - December 13, 2006 09:34 PM (GMT)
This male is a great grand-betta of synirr's. He's from and F-3 spawn. And one of the prettiest males I've had.

:welcome to the forum!!!

Is he your only fish? He is so cute!

SandyMushCowgirl - December 13, 2006 09:47 PM (GMT)
Thanks again for the welcome...

lol, no he's not my only fish.. I have a pair of copper/black HMs, a pair of copper black/platinum marble HMPKs, a pair of black green PKs, this males parents a copper PK male and a marble PK female, and 15 of his siblings 11 of which will be relocating.. I also have a giant marble PK female, a green marble HM female, a yellow VT, three sibling orange HM x PKs, and a trio of Betta Cracens.

Now he is VEDDY PURDY!!!!
I want, I want, lol.

lol, well if I ever decide to sell him I'll look you up.. :D

LaBella - December 14, 2006 04:47 AM (GMT)
WONDERFUL!!!

I have fry off a nice red marble PK... who knows what the fry will look like, but he is bred every which way, so crossing his stuff up some more wouldn't hurt him at all, lol.

Been thinking about breeding a cello line... and calling it Crystal Meth, lolol

SandyMushCowgirl - December 14, 2006 06:20 PM (GMT)
lol, that would be a good name for a cello line.. What's interesting about this male is he started out with a gray body and red fins, then went to a cellophane/opaque color with black and orange marbling, and then to what he looks like now.
What I would like to do, because his mother was the same way and one of his siblings has the same color, I'd like to breed him back to his mother and see if I can get that orange and black marbling that will hopefuly stay...

Here's a picture of his mother before she lost her orange color.

Here's a picture of him before he lost his color, I'm trying to find one with the orange.

This isn't a good picture, but you can barely see the orange on his head.

You know, you get that done, I wouldn't mind some fry.I am working on red and black in HMPK.

SandyMushCowgirl - December 14, 2006 08:33 PM (GMT)
Alright.. Sounds good. I'm actually setting up the pair this evening, although I won't let the female out until tomorow sometime. They've been being conditioned for a while.

Wow he is a pretty baby. I think Cellos are so neat

SandyMushCowgirl - January 4, 2007 07:37 PM (GMT)
Thanks y'all. He sure is an awesome fish..

Well, the pair spawned the 15th of December. However the eggs fungused. So after the pair had been reconditioned I put them together the 30th of Dec. and they spawned New Year's Day. The fry hatched late in the evening of the 2nd.

Congrats.I hope it goes better for you this time and I would love to see those baby pics when you get them :hawaiibanana

SandyMushCowgirl - January 4, 2007 07:54 PM (GMT)
Well, seeing as the eggs actually hatched this time, it at least looks like things will go well. And they have started free-swimming today, well, most of them.
I do have one baby picture so far.

SandyMushCowgirl - January 25, 2007 06:37 PM (GMT)
Thanks y'all.. I think I like his new look better too... I must say, I do think he is my most favorite betta that I have.. I just need to figure out where I want to take his line next.. I'm thinking I need to find a marble HMPK or HM female for him to develop my own HMPK.
What do y'all think?

MObetta122 - January 28, 2007 09:10 AM (GMT)
