I have bought many indian almond leaves throught aquabid and ebays with different sellers when I started to breed bettas. I have no clue why when I soak them, the water didn't turned brown or tan. They tells you that you need to boil them to make them tan.

Next time when you heard the same thing like me, you have been fool by them. Those Indian Almond leaves have been used at least once soaking and then they dried them up to make it looks good and sell it to you. That is mean second hand. As you know, they also know how to do business because they have to make black water solution in bottle like artison betta spa and others brands. There are not many you can find in a tree. Those leaf can only pick them up when they fall off from the tree and not just plug them off the tree. Those are toxic if the leaf is green. Not good for your bettas. When you look at the leaf, they should look old and fall off from the tree by themself. Not the green one and then dried them up.
Only 1 to 3 leaves fall off each day. So you have to know how much to get in a pile. (Don't think about all the Malaysian trees are all indian almond leaf tree. LOL)

After a year been breeding bettas in USA, I talked to my nephew in law in Malaysia about IAL and bitch about it. I didn't know Malaysia got IAL too. LOL He been using them for his discus to make the black water in his tank. From that onwards, I have been getting IAL from him and they are GREAT and the BEST. He don't have a big order actually but just very limited. He only sell the real old fall of the tree only and he never pick them from the tree.

Anyone who got the order from him, you know how TAN the color is. That is mean original old leaf and not been used. Yes, my nephew in law still pick those leaves and sell it throught here only. Many had ordered from him in a period of time and they know how tan they were even you just soak them. :)

He did help me to send some for me and I like to help him out too. Therefore, all the money will send it to him. Not into my pocket. :lolo:

As for the price, 40 IAL including shipping from Malaysia will be $15.00
For 100 IAL including shipping from Malaysia will be $35.00

Even it say 40 or 100, he will add more into the beg as total grams. So all individual beg have their same weight.
He will clean all the leaves up and cut them in strip for him to easily pack and seal them up and send them off. :)

Just wanted to add another testimony:

The IALs I got from Yeevia and his nephew are absolutely GREAT. They make my water so dark, and I really love the convenience of the already cut-up leaves. :OO No labor charges for cutting the leaves up either. Now I don't have to cut the leaves up myself.

yup the leaves he and his nephew sells are great. As Haeun mentioned they are already precut and convenient. Last night when I did Sunti's water change the bubble nest he built had really sticky bubbles that held up. I do my water change and just plop new ones in the tank and they are such high quality they start turning the water a nice tea color quickly. Yeah

I didn't sell the Indian Almond leaves actually and 100% all go to him. I just help my nephew in law to collect the money and then send it to him. He works hard to collect the ripe IAL that fall off from the tree in the morning when he got time. Then clean it and cut them off to smaller pieces to pack better to ship.
