Title: Baby Brine Shrimp
Description: for fries

I hatched some bbs out and put them in my fry tank. How long will they live in there and how often should I be hatching more? My lil guys were so FAT last night after scarfing down the bbs. They looked like stuffed balls with tiny fins and tail.

OK, because brine shrimp are hatched in brine, the osmotic difference means they usually only live for a couple hours once they are put into fresh water.
Which isn't a bad thing, because their nutritional value drops after a couple hours.
However you can hatch them in baking soda, and they will live for up to 12 hours I have noticed.
You should set up two hatchers, one in the morning, and one at night
You probably don't have more than 15-20 fry tops hiding in there.
So you can be conservative when hatching out the bbs.
what I was doing was dampening a tootpick, and sticking it in the vial about 1/8th in. And when they hatched, that was still too many bbs for two fry, lol.
You want to watch it with over feeding though, that is why I used the dampened toothpick to measure my cysts for me. They can literally eat until they burst, and over feeding can cause food induced swim bladder disorder.

Don't put too many eggs when hatching bbs. Yes, do one in the morning and one at midnight. 12 hours saperation. ;) Don't feed too much. If you got alot hatch, you can feed some to others fish. ;)
