Here is what I been using for more than a year in my breeding tank. I have try this and that with all kinds of method. This is the best in my opinion and better than plastic bubbles wrap. You can clean it and reuse again and again. It is good for winter too because It helps not to dry the top layer eggs out. Even there is a light on the top will keep the eggs warm in the winter. Always success hatching unless the female is unfertile. LOL ^_^

when i use an open tub i like to use a chunk of styrofoam- like you get in shipping boxes- i poke a few holes in it to root cuttings from my houseplants at the same time lol

funny i think tho- for years i never added anything for the nest- they made it under leaves and plants always- but when i add styrofoam or a cup etc- they always want to use it! you would think they would prefer something more natural- but i guess it is stronger and better lol.

I'm gonna try that when I get to spawning my first pair, hopefully this week!
