Title: My tips of water when breeding.
yeevia2006 - July 11, 2006 04:54 PM (GMT)
I aged water with conditional for two days. Then I am using Artison's betta spa. (That is why I got many frys hatching) Also I added 1/5 IAL leaf soaking too (no boiling) when I am ready to breed my bettas. I put live plants too because they will growth infuria for the frys later and they also absorpt any ammonia build up later. My tupperware is 4 to 5 gallons type and I always using a divider to make the space to 1/3 in the tupperware after 12 hours putting them together. ^_^ Makesure the females are all ok. Observation.
Where to get Artison's Betta Spa.
HERE! The best price.

What we've done is use half filled 10 gallon tanks to spawn in, and after the fry are free swimming for about 3 days to a week (depending on how large the spawn is) we start dripping water in slowly, gallon by gallon, once a week, also depending on the size of the spawn. Larger the spawn the more you are going to have to change water. Once we fill the tank with water, we syphon off the water 5 gallons at a time, maybe doing half of it a day and making it a two day project, and add back the water by dripping it in. By the time that you are syphoning off the water you can actually easily SEE the fry and won't jave to worry as much about syphoning them off with the water.
