I guess grindal worms falls under nutrition, I apologize ahead of time if I'm in the wrong place.

I have a culture of grindal worms that I've had for 6 months now and it's been doing wonderful up until now. The other day I found some maggots <gross!> in my culture. I scooped out every bit I thought had maggots in it but again today it's full of maggots. Is my culture ruined? I'm so mad!! I absolutely hate maggots.

Yes, this is the right spot, and you win a free betta for being to first to post on MY new forum...
Unless, of course, you want a VT bred from pure HM lines, you are going to have to wait until I have a spawn to give you one, but until them, it is the thought that counts, lol.

As for your culture, no it isn't ruined.
First you need to figure out what kind of maggots they are. Probably fruit flies, but even if it isn't guess what??
Bettas love maggots too!!!
If you want a completely maggot free culture, you are going to have to set another culture up, and put clean maggot free worms in it.
That means breaking out the magnifying glass and double chcking that there aren't any maggots in the worms you are transfering.
One way I like to do it is drop the worms into a glass of water just like I were feeding, and then STARE VERY hard, and use a pipette to suck up the worms only.
As for the other culture, once you have the NEW one running well, and it is maggot free, use up the old on... no point in wasting it.
Once you hve used up the worms, you can microzap the media, or bake it (which is probably better) and reuse it, and you should be maggot free.

Hope that helps.
