I've only had 2 females in my life and they were both Plakats. Of course Chikaz (my 1st female), was also a doubletail. Anyways, EyeCandy is a little female who loves to, for some reason, stress out as soon as she stops flaring. Slowly slowly, I'm beginning to see more color and less 'lines'. At the fish store, she was one of the beefier females. She was the only one with some green on her. Now, she doesn't have much green, but I'll give her some time. She'll probably bloom like Sunagas females did. I named her EyeCandy because, everytime I put a flashLight near her eyes, the look like little gumballs, aslo, she is my little Candy-Poo. Harharhar

She's afraid of the camera, and she is in a blue-tinted betta kit so it's extremely hard to get a goof picture of her.

Slowly slowly she is settling down. She doesn't have all her color yet and sometimes she will stress up but she's doing good.
I got to clean her bwol today, so I'm worried she'll completely stress up.

Nothing you can do about that. But have you tried to card her? Maybe a day or 2?

I cleaned her bowl yesterday and she became really stressed but now she is fine. No stress lines but her color isn't what it was yet.

Card her? What's that?

Its what breeders use to help promote better fins. You cad the fish (put up paper/ a screen) so the fish cant see anything (ie another fish). Then when you take the cards away the fish will be more agresive and flare more. Its to basicaly help the HM spread more.

It Should help your little girl colour up and become less stressed when she cant see anything.

I keep a paper inbetween HeartBeat and Candies bowl but never all around.
I think I'm going to try it for a day or 2.
