She's some nice fish, and I thought nice as she is, she might like to join the Unique family.
So after I agreed to release her family that I was holding hostage, she came and signed up.
Glad to have you, and remember the Unique motto, even crappy pictures are better than no pictures at all.

*waves* Hi all! I finally got my booty over to introduce myself.

I'm Rhaxma, or if you wish, I go by Rhax and Meg just as well. I've been a betta lover for as long as I can remember. I've been breeding small time on my own for the past couple of years and hopefully will someday dive deep down in the world of breeding them full on. With me right now, I have one handsome Super Delta by the name of Galactica who is the most awkward breeder in the world. I have his two sisters from the same spawn, Viper and Pegasus. There is a breeding tank full of their quickly growing spawn right now (Galactica x Viper). I also have my Wal-Mart pity buys living with me, a rather dashing veiltail Blue and a scrawny little red/brown female by the name of Betty.

Other than bettas, I adore my cats, as Bella can testify to. I'll happily talk your ears off about either my cats or bettas. Hopefully in two years, I'll have my veterinary technician degree, with which I would love to get into rescue. My goal is to someday open a sanctuary for feral cats that have become a problem to their area, trapped, or ferals taken from hoarder's houses.

I have alos been thinking of going to school as a veterinary technician. How are you liking taking it?? Is there much Chemistry???

I'll see if Adam (my BF XD) can bring a digi cam home today from work so I can try and capture some decent shots :D If not, I'll keep bugging him until he does so!

I'm not in school as of yet. I start this September once I move out to CO in June. But from talking to my adviser, she said that chemistry does not play a huge roll in being a vet tech. You have to know your conversions (kg to pounds, etc) but beyond that, it's heavily biology based. You only need a basic chemistry course to get in ^_^

Ya lol :D No chemistry.. I hate it.... Love Bio though :D

Alright! Picture time!

So here are my babies :D

Pegasus


Viper, Pegasus' much larger and very aggressive sister. She's the mother of the fry I have growing up right now.


My Mahachai male Mika, who is very much in love with Viper.


Meeka, who is sadly ignored by Mika.


Betty, little Wal-Mart girl that I took in. She was purchased the same time as Blue and they were both in pretty sad shape. They're both now very happy and healthy.



Frida, another girl saved from Wal-Mart.



Pokey, the best fish I have ever saved from Wal-Mart. We thought he didn't have a chance. He was slumped on his side and refused to move. As you can see, he made a huge turn-around. He now fights anyone who comes near his tank. He also seems to be the most photogenic of the group.



Blue, who was in bad shape. Almost all his fins were chewed off. Still some growing left to do on them, but he's in much finer condition.



And Galactica, daddy of the fry. He's horrible at taking pictures and ever since mating with Viper and getting almost ALL of his fins torn off, he's become quite shy and a bit neurotic.


Then there are my eight fry!



From the depths comes...LEVIATHAN. Yes, he's not a betta, but he's Adam's darling so he had to have a picture taken. He's the skankiest, dirtiest fish we have ever owned. This fish hates me, sulks when I'm around, but lives for Adam. He'll wiggle up to Adam, shove colored marbles at Adam, and will dig Adam nests <<




Couldn't get a pic of my pleco Tiamat since she was being stubborn and hid in her log, but there they are :D The family.
