So is the female betta below look like an infertile melano female? I wanted a second opinion. The seller says no melano gene. what do you guys think? I think it could be melano infretile cuz it's got black balls. yet doesn't seem dense black enough.

She looks to me like a very good black lace female or a double black, which is a line of melano/black lace bred to be fertile.. Maybe because of the lack of iridescence on her I am thinking she is not a melano.
If the breeder is saying that there is no melano genes, then he is likely to be right. However, if she is a recessive melano, which I doubt, then the only way to know is if you breed her.
