They are embracing right now!!! I am so happy, :WOU I thought for sure that this would be a dud spawn. The little female was very persistant, and finally ignored all his flaring and carring on and stayed under the nest. :Y
From what I can see she has a bite to her tail and dorsal as well as the rips to her anal fin. She is such a little sweet heart, helping pick up the eggs and showing the male how to blow them into the nest. :wub:

Oh in case you missed it this is a Crowntail (male) x Doubletail (female) and my second spawn, first one was Crowntail (m) x Veiltail (f) that produced 380+ fry that are now 8 weeks old.

HEHE, Thankyou for sharing in my joy! :D I have been watching the male as, well he sucks at blowing bubbles. So I gave him back a piece of bubble wrap and he has managed to get mor than two bubbles to stick together. The eggs have hatched and the fry are tenacious little buggars as most of them made it from the floor of the tank up to the surface, and wedged themselves into bubbles on their own! :wub:
There is at the moment around 10 or so eggs still on the floor of the tank, if I see no movement with them by tomorrow mornig I will remove them.
So YAY!!! there are fry!! Much smaller clutch than my first spawn, I guess around 100 or so? I can't wait for them to grown up already!! :WOW: :wub: :WOW: :wub: :WOW:
