Ok, figured out that matching skin tones is friggin hard!!
So, the first one looks....well, photoshopped...
I used all my own pictures to do this one:
Shallen was shying from the camera....I just happened to have a pet worth shying about ^_^
I had to re-add in all around the spider, you can tell in between its legs and on her skin..I think the shirt came out rather well ^_^ I had to rebuild some parts of Shallen too...lol, I won't mention where, that would give it away..And the also said I couldn't to clothing folds, I think I redid some of them rather well :)
This is the picture I wanted to alter, but first things first, Sarah and tack had to be removed lol
I wasn't sure if I was keeping the background at the time, so I fixed it a little, and I had to re-add in all the missing parts of Velvet, which made it looks really blurry, and it took a while to figure out how to get the brush strokes out of it, but I figured it out...sorta..
I finally decided what I wanted to do, so I nipped a starry background, which wasn't exactly like what I wanted, I decided to fix that too
And then added some more effects to it, and decided to change Velvet completely..
I think it turned out pretty good for a first try :)

He/ she is so cute! (And i like the painting as well as the photoshop) He/ she looks alot like my grandfathers quarter horse. I used to ride him ALL the time before he foundered. Poor guy, he's like 20 now. *sigh* I miss riding alot...
