Title: Constipated?
Description: swimming sideways and everything...

Southernbelle - February 20, 2008 03:44 AM (GMT)
So, this has not been my week concerning betta health. My little VT Karma looks up at me today and is swimming on his right side mostly. He's a little bloated, but not, like, dropsy bloated.... Hes staying near the top of the water, but is still eating. I thought maybe he's constipated? Any thoughts anyone?

I have one little girl that does the same thing when she over eats, once she poos, she is fine.

iF YOU CAN GET THEM TO EAT A BIT OF A COOKED AND SHELLED PEA MUSHED UP, IT WORKS GOOD TO GET THINGS MOVING
SORRY BOUT THE CAPS, AT WORK SYSTEM USES THEM. BLECH!!!

Also, freeze dried daphnia, and frozen brine shrimp..
The exoskeletons on them provide roughage, and helps to get things moving, and they are more likely to eat them then they are to eat peas.
