I wanted to let everyone know I entered two of my images into a fish photo contest!

My fish are the opaque and the blue black betta splendens. Some of you guys may have even seen the prints I've done of these guys!

The site let's you vote two maybe three times a day...I can't figure which yet. But please vote!!!!

How did the one called "betta bi-color marble" get so many votes so fast!?!?

I liked the opaque better, but the blue has more votes, so I am voting for him in order to get one of your fish in the mag, because he is less further behind than the opaque.

I'm going to start voting for the blue one too! I love both pics, but splitting my vote each time in won't compete with the others. I don't know if we'll ever catch up to the first couple fish. I have no idea how they are pulling off as many votes as they have gotten!

Maybe I should just put together a portfolio and approach the magazine directly!

Humm From what I see of the contest and yes the red bi color marble is me. It's all about getting the word out for the magazine. The millon dollar guys are the ones that are throwing this contest not the magazine itself. I got all the votes legally I just used the web and asked people to repost to there mailing list. Its going on for 60 days who knows how it is going to turn out. I wish everyone the best I figured I would go ahead and post that it was me sorry if this has made people mad.

Not mad at all! I hope I never implied that the votes were not coming in legitamately. Just that I didn't know how other people were getting so many votes! I thought I was being aggressive and posting on all the forums I go to!

I really like that blue black myself. I never expected it to get crazy like that I posted it on my space and it went crazy considering I have 30 friends . My son reposted it and I think a band picked it up and sent it out also. So good luck to everyone. I know that site must be loving this I know I would with all them hits.

Yeah. I'm just too small an operation to need advertisement! I'm concentrating on a website right now and we'll see how that goes. I still have my day job to worry about!

By the way everyone, the rules on the photocontest have changed. Now they have decided to take the top 20 voted pictures and submit them to a panel of three judges. The judges will then pick which picture wins the contest.

So we just have to keep our pictures in the top 20! That's something more possible! So we can't give up yet! Keep up the voting!

Yep I am pretty much out of that then. I think there are much better pics with backgrounds and all that guys in 3rd is a neat pic too. Now that I look back and with the rule changes. I should have put up a better pic and fish but o well I really didn't think I had a chance anyways.lol

I have no idea how it's going to go! A lot can change in 60 days and there are a lot of good pictures up. I only hope I can stay in the top 20 and have a chance to be picked!

The pictures they chose are okay, but I'm definitely loving the betta pictures! It's sad that the threadfin picture is photoshopped, yet still won... :P

That's lame. Those judges should be fired!
