Hey guys my green male the other day was stuck on the intake to my filter... this has never happened before. I quikly turned it of. His fins were all shreded and well hes a mess. I medicated the tank and i thought he should get beter butnow hes just laying on the ground not moving. Kinda sidways like... Any ideas?
I would say he is shocky. drop the water level, make sure he is warm, and cover his tank so he is quiet.
That is the best advice i can give.
But you need to realize, healthy bettas don't get stuck to filter intakes if they are used to having them, usually.
So there might be something else going on with him that you weren't aware of.
I would add a diluted melafix, less than 20% of the recomended dose, solution to the water. Be careful how much you use as melafix can harm a betta. However with the poor thing all ripped up this preventative measure could save his life.
I would also use a 1/2 dose of AQ salts to thwart other infections.
I also think your betta was already sick if it got stuck to the filter.
