I bought the DVD a few years ago off eBay. I'm convinced it's bootleg but it's been working beautifully over the years so I'm satisfied.
I'm very disappointed of the covers on the new DVD releases as they aren't nearly as beautifully drawn as the one I remember on the VHS box when I was a kid but it fills the void.
I do have a Haggard, Lir, Schmendrick and Ruhk. Haven't found the right Amalthea just yet though. ^_^
My favorite song on the movie was always the opening song (redundantly, The Last Unicorn).
I'm quite confident Mabruk is male. Nice frothy bubblenest, large beard when flaring and no eggy goodness inside and he's pretty easy to see through. I'm a little confused on his color though. I can't tell if he's a grizzle or not. He's pretty much as in the picture. Frosty metallic scaling in a marbled pattern with some dark "netting" over some of the flesh color parts. I keep thinking of him as a steel but I'm not sure if that's correct. :blink:

Yeah, I am looking back at the picture, now that I have my contacts back in my eyes, and I can see that the white inner patch is not an egg sack.. which is what it was looking like with me half blind.
The best I could tell you is he looks like a pastel with black scaling.. Not quite a grizzle IMO.. The netting is the black scaling. I am almost sure by the picture that he is a green pastel, but you know him betting than I, having him in your possession, lol.
Cully I think I like the best of the ones you've posted, and when you breed him, we can trade babies..

I agree about the art on the DVD cover, and so what if your DVD is a bootleg, (which it probably is), if the quality is good, it isn't an issue with me.
Besides, I don't think they had The Last Unicorn on DVD until the 25th came out. When I saw it I was like, OMG!!
I could have waited and gotten it for a couple bucks less, but I had to have it right them and there, and the kids are NOT allowed to TOUCH my DVD.
The Last Unicorn, (the these) is the best song, I love the affirmation, "I'm Alive! I'm Alive!!"
But Man's Road is also good, and I have to find out the name of the duet, and download that as well, if I can find it.
You know, I used to think that people who know every line of a movie and could recite them were insane, but now I KNOW they are insane, because I am one of them.. at least when it comes to The Last Unicorn.
