Has anyone tried to breed MG with copper red females?
If the Mustard Gas is metallic, I could see quite a bit of copper reds, and copper gas' coming out of the spawn. Not sure how much actual Mustard Gas you would get. The yellow would may get covered over with the red until the next generation. So really you could get a bit of this and that and as with any cross... plenty of the other thing. (stuff that nobody expects.)
I agree.. you could also get a lot of fish like what BC bettas breeds, or used to breed..
http://www.bcbetta.com/sold2005/sold150.htmlthe first two males.
http://www.bcbetta.com/sold2005/sold10.htmlThe second and last fish.
http://www.bcbetta.com/sold2005/sold49.htmlThe last three fish..
Now make a metal picture, and replace the yellow in these fish with red.. which is what you will likely get if the copper red is not carrying NR, or is carrying a different NR.
That would be interesting...today I am hoping for the second batch of fry to hatch...so I will have enough gene pool for future selection.
