Color- He is not a good black, he is not a good bi color, he is not a good butterfly.
To be a good black he could not have all the gold, (which is actually copper, making him a COPPER black). to be a good Bi Color, his fins need to be all black. To be a good BF, he needs a 50/50 color split on all unpaired fins, and he doesn't have that, there is too much copper in the dorsal and anal, and not enough in the tail.

Dorsal- He has shortened leading rays, first, and second, the rays following are also shorter, making an arch instead of a razor sharp front.

Anal- a little long, and there is a split in the rear of the it. What is interesting is that it looks like the END of the anal is shortened but the middle of the anal is the part that is over long.

Tail- There is something happening with the upper part of it. It looks as though there are several shortened rays there, and the swatches of copper in the webbing between those rays throws off the balance of the chevrons of copper that are radiating from that base of the tail, making it look sloppy and more uneven. The rest of the chevrons of copper are also somewhat uneven in size, and length.
Because of the shortened rays in the upper portion of the tail, I suspect, though it is very hard to tell in the picture, that he might be rounded in the tail.

Vents- have white tips.

Don't get me wrong, this is a very good fish, and every fish has it's flaws. This is VERY breedable fish, and an asset to any fishroom.

I'm trying to get an eye for noticing those fine points. I'm pleased with myself that I detected almost all the same things you mentioned. (I'm a Virgo too!) I think one of the reasons This guy caught my eye is because he doesn't fit cleanly into any category. The colors are striking. I'm wondering if in person the black would have some clear spots. That dark background, I'm guessing, is hiding some of his shortcomings.

I still want him. sigh

That fish is an X factor mutant, and you want to stay far far away from him.
These are the things that popped out in my eyes, the extreme branching he has, but he doesn't have near the length of fin he SHOULD have.
Next his body looks a little odd, maybe he was fed too much before they took the pictures, I don't know. The good thing is that I don't see the bad scaling.
The sure sign that is an X-Factor is his vents.
Look at how short and stubby they are.

So, no I would not recommend this fish.
Not that Chaba is a bad guy, he just might not recognize what is really going on with this fish.

I love the cs3 photoshop it is an awesome program to use i like this one out them all I have the cs3 fireworks as well that one is awesome as well green tetra they have the trial version to try it out I used a green lotus brush which is an abstract brush then i used a lotus blossom brush

They get ya hooked and leave ya sitting there with the offer just outta reach.

I asked my mom when we were going to get the new Photoshop. Turns out I'm going to have to wait until next year. :blink:

thanks nutty yeah that is true with the trials they are a tease :OO I figured i would go for the whole gusto with the cs3 my sig and avatar I just started doing it and all of a sudden i got that lol it is amazing what stuff comes out the creative mind
