My Khuli's are finally starting to come out in the open. Its been 2 months and the shy little things have finally decided they can be seen during the light of day.
Exploring for foodz

Is that the world?

They are cuties! Wow! 2 months! With your plants I'm surprised it took that long. I don't know what it is about live plants, but they just seen to make fish at ease.
I once had a different kind of loach, can't remember what kind, maybe a weather loach, but it would harass and bite my other fish so they couldn't eat. Are these aggressive?

The Khuli loaches take timid and shy to whole new levels. They will abandon food and hide when the molly fry get to close.
Most loaches of this type are nocturnal, so I would see them at night. Takes them awhile to feel safe enough to go out in the day.

I had four I never saw unless the lights were out. Then I got a few more, added a few more plants, and now they're out all the time! Did you know that they can live for 15+ years?

I might just have to get some. The only nocturnals that I have right now are Maylasian trumpet snails. I don't see them being a problem. So, do they prefer to be in groups or are they more solitary?

They like to be in groups. They feel safer and will come out and explore and play in groups of six or more. Mine zip all over the tank, and love to torment the snails.
