Title: Typhoon
Styx - August 6, 2007 02:30 AM (GMT)
He's a DTVT marble with some butterfly patterning.
He lives in a 5 gallon in the kitchen. Unfortunately everyone feeds him and he's blimped a little bit since these photos.

wildmagiclady - August 6, 2007 03:40 AM (GMT)
He sure has beautiful coloring and pattern. Looks like he has lots of personality too!
;)
Styx - August 6, 2007 03:51 AM (GMT)
Oh yes. Loads of personality. Too bad he's a VTDT or I would have bred him!
LaBella - August 6, 2007 08:10 PM (GMT)
What do you mean too bad??
That is VT appreciation month!!
Post him in VTs as well, lol.
he is a great looking fish.
If you like him, breed him.
A good female can cover for the male. I got a delta (4 ray female) and super delta (4-6 ray male) breeding a 4 ray Sawarut female to a 2 ray VT male.
Who knows what the rest of the spawn would have looked like, there were only two in the spawn.
Mumusuki - August 6, 2007 10:14 PM (GMT)
That is the hottest DTVT I have ever seen! (Ok, the ONLY DTVT I have ever seen)
Styx - August 6, 2007 11:30 PM (GMT)
LaBella, actually, I mean too bad! I hate longfins, VTs included! XD He'd probably need an 8 ray female for me to even get deltas and round tails, and I REALLY hate those. I like veils more than I like deltas and rounds. Indra is the only one with longer-ish fins that I like, and he was from two HMPKs.
I'll content myself with my lovely breeder bought plakats and DTPKs. Now THOSE I like!
Mumusuki, I bought him from Fish-4-U in Sugarhouse. :3

^Wrong topic, man.
I STILL haven't been able to go to that fish store! It is too far away for my parents to want to take me. But next year, I will be driving myself there! :D

Mumusuki, Wrong topic? I started the thread and was replying to what someone said. You want me to... not reply or something?
They had some really nice super black trad PKs in there couple weeks ago.
Waterwitch, thanks.
waterwitch - August 7, 2007 03:56 PM (GMT)
I love VTs. Always have. And a doubletail VT is fantastic!

No, no, no. When I first read that reply, it was in your gecko and dog topic. Either I, or my computer was going crazy. Sorry. Of course I want you to reply. You are a great addition to our forum. :D
LaBella - August 8, 2007 12:55 AM (GMT)
It WAS in the gecko/dog topic
I moved it to the right topic, you are not going crazy, lol.
I meant to edit you post, Mumu, sorry.
Mumusuki - August 8, 2007 12:56 AM (GMT)
LOL Alright. I am fine, as long as Styx knows I wasn't after him to stop posting.

:lolo: I knew someone here would come to the rescue of the VT! I figured it would be Belle or Nate. Especially since as she said, we're promoting Veil Tail appreciation.
Newdayrising - August 8, 2007 06:19 PM (GMT)
I  him Styx I love all betta whether long finned short finned I love his coloration and all
leafgirl115 - August 8, 2007 07:02 PM (GMT)
Wow thats the first DTVT I have seen. He looks very happy:)
Styx - August 9, 2007 06:06 AM (GMT)
Mumusuki, Okay good, I was like, “Whaaat the…?” lol
Waterwitch, DT makes ever tail type better. X3
Newdayrising, Yeah, he has pretty colors, which is why I bought him. But if he was a PK, I would have bred him! All bettas are beautiful in their own right, you're correct. But I just don't like long fins, for ME.
leafgirl, he says he starving all the time. But he's a liar.
leafgirl115 - August 9, 2007 03:10 PM (GMT)
Styx dont wory we all have pig in our groop of fish. ;)
Mumusuki - August 9, 2007 05:18 PM (GMT)
I had a friend check out Fish 4 U yesterday. She said that the service was great and knowledgeable, but the store looked crappy. lol Too bad she didn't know enough about bettas to get me a good one.
Styx - August 9, 2007 11:10 PM (GMT)
Mumusuki, the store does look crappy. It's REALLY old and the roof leaks, so the roof is stained and the carpet is like 40 years old and ruined and stained. But the fish are pretty healthy and if they get sick they actually TREAT them. OMG
leafgirl115 - August 9, 2007 11:13 PM (GMT)
Not many LFS actualy treat there fish. Its so sad...

Yeah, that is what she said. She jokingly said that it was close to being a health hazard and that she was going to call haz mat to go check it out! lol
Styx - August 10, 2007 12:06 AM (GMT)
leafgirl115, indeed.
Mumusuki, LOL I like going in there anyway, they have so much stuff smashed into that little store. You'd be surprised.
Mumusuki - August 10, 2007 12:07 AM (GMT)
She mentioned the crowding as well. :lolo:
