yeevia2006 - July 21, 2006 08:35 PM (GMT)
Holy cow. Kaldnes K1 Media came today and they are a lot. LOL :OO
I am soaking them today. :lolo:

JBN - July 21, 2006 09:32 PM (GMT)
Oooh I love your method of draining the water, quick and effective. By the way Frankie, on the first couple of pictures did you slice the PVC pipes and then inserted the drip emitters? Afterwards, did you seal up the openings using the glue?

yeevia2006 - July 22, 2006 12:46 AM (GMT)
Jbn. Yes. I am using Q tips to put the glue around the emitter and into the pvc hole too. Then I insert the emitter into the PVC.
I really like the water flow back down and it is great. Easy and simple. No more seeing those water dripping from the beanie box or dust gets into the drainage. I tested it and they are working great.
Also when joining and attaching the PVC pipe to connector, don't turn too much else they will leak. I got few spot leaking so I have to fix it. You know, you learned from your mistake. I know when I do the second one, it will be more careful and better.
I just found out some of the black emitters are leaking water from the turning knob. So my vote is 3 out of 5. Then I change to the toro green emitters and hopefully work better. I think it is better even can't stop the water flow like the black one.
I love the pump!!! Really strong and very silent. I still can add 100 more beanie boxes for the future. I might hook up all the tupperwares. ;)

yeevia2006 - July 22, 2006 12:48 AM (GMT)
I just forgot to add that this barrack is running 128 beanie boxes. ^_^

Synirr - July 22, 2006 02:56 AM (GMT)
128?? That's like a dream come true, I am so jealous!!

Forever-Mango - July 22, 2006 02:53 PM (GMT)
Show me pics of your media soaking!

I soak mine in PP for 3hrs then rinse and put in filter :lolo:

yeevia2006 - July 23, 2006 09:29 PM (GMT)
Mango. I am still soaking those beads with water. Not ready for the filter yet since my emitters are still leaking. Will be get the barrack done tonight for sure gluing. ^_^

yeevia2006 - July 24, 2006 06:38 AM (GMT)
Finally I am done gluing. Wow. Tomorrow should do final test. ^_^

Forever-Mango - July 24, 2006 09:01 AM (GMT)
You should seed the media....soak in PP for 3hrs and wash it through.

yeevia2006 - July 24, 2006 09:03 PM (GMT)

yeevia2006 - August 8, 2006 11:53 PM (GMT)
Thanks Aiwen.
Not cheap to build a barrack I tells you. LOL A lot of work too. But if you into breeding bettas, it worth a lot. I don't have to worried to clean beanie boxes 2 to 3 times per week. :lolo:

bettaqueen - August 21, 2006 10:57 PM (GMT)
I know it is a lot of work but it is well worth it. I have seen the beautiful pics of he bettas you breed on here that other members have.

leafgirl115 - August 22, 2006 12:12 AM (GMT)
Great job!!!!!!!!

How many bettas does the one you made hold?

bettaqueen - August 30, 2006 03:21 PM (GMT)
that is pretty cool Yeevs. you just amaze me

yeevia2006 - August 30, 2006 07:02 PM (GMT)
This one hold 128 containers. Right now around have 100 bettas living in. Empty sport just for any new males to jar.
This barrack still can extend another 50 more. The water still have extra pump out and when I got time later on, I will add another shelves extension. Right now is perfect. ;)
It worths and I don't have to clean beanie boxes like I used to be. ^_^ I have more time now. :)

leafgirl115 - August 30, 2006 07:58 PM (GMT)
Thats great!!!!!!!

LaBella - August 31, 2006 04:55 AM (GMT)
So we should see you hear more often, and you can get me pics of my own personal yeevers fishes, that I have been waiting and waiting and waiting for.
