Title: I finally got the fish I wanted!

East Coast Bettas - June 27, 2007 03:33 AM (GMT)
I have had my eye on this line in general and this pair of fish in particular for a long time. Absolutely spectacular fish from the amazing breeders, Sieg and Judy Illig. This particular pair came home empty handed for the weekend but placed 1st at the PABS show a few months ago.

He was a bit show shocked but you can plainly get the idea.

This is his woman. I just love them! I cannot wait to get fry from them.

I also picked up this copper female as part of the Copper Halfmoon pair, but obviously she is very Plakaty... thusly I will post her in here. Most likely she came from a mixed outcome of fry. You can tell she's trying to grow some more rays. Nothing wrong though, she will be perfect to make some nice strong caudal rays in the HM copper line.

They are in the spawn tank since Thursday night. I don't wanna jinx them by posting just yet but the cat is out of the bag now. :)

I don't think there's an argument, just a debate. Talking things out helps us all as breeders and anyone willing to learn and listen, no matter how long we have been in the hobby.

I was there watching the bidding, and his hand was NOT going down.
He was drooling on them since the PABS show. As soon as I saw they were for sale, I knew that they were going home with him, lol.
I double checked with the breeder, because they are from a prolific line, lots of people have them... and this was the PABS pair.
What I forgot to ask was if they had spawned...
I think, probably. Which is why they were sold.

Well, I sure love them and it's lucky for you I wasn't there with money or you'd have had a fight! :P
