Yea, for future reference, you should always ask for picture of female. Female is just as important as, if not more than, the male, so you need to check to make sure you're not getting a bad female.
Anyways, I thought you don't want to do DTxDT usually, because then you have to cull too many of the spawn; too many get deformed spine, kinks, shortened bodies and so forth, right? Well, actually, from your accounts and pictures, these two look like a DTxDT result themselves...

I almost always ask for pics of the female, and got sidetracked in this case and didn't, BUT I don't plan to breed these two together, I want to mix them into two SINGLEtail lines I currently have going. My red marbles (which carry DT several generations back) and my purple gass's (which MIGHT carry DT, or might not lol). Which is why I'm not worried about the male's slight bobble, but the female's is worse and so I may or may not use her, gonna depend.

I can tell you right now Ruth, you'll be in trouble with that spawning. Your fry will end up with deformities and being too short of body. Both the parents are already pretty shortened. You probably should have gotten a ST female for him.
Lovely color. I really like the female.

I have Have A question why would A seller send a fish with a crooked spine? this seems unacceptable right? did you pay for the female? I would think the seller would not want to sell a fish with obvious deformities,? this just seems unprofessional, or is the DT's faults acceptable and expected?

Wild is right. Even you cross to singletail, they still pretty short body offspring. I have tried that. I still got a lot of shorttail bettas even i cross to a normal longbody female. I didn't continue the line. I was using the short body male as doubletail actually. Not sure if you using the DT female will help or not. It will be a good try and let us know. ^_^

They shouldn't sell those and that is why they ruined their raputation as a betta seller trying to get away what they breed. ^_^ I know I will never buy from them anymore actually. ^_^ Look at the top body. Got a croke too or you call it a hump or a dent. It looks like the pair has that. ^_^ All the fins are incredible beautiful and just except the body form. ^_^

well, first off he never claimed the girl was perfect, I consider this at least halfway my fault for not asking, considering his reaction when I asked for more pics of the male I'm sure he'd have taken pics of the female for me if i'd asked. Now I plan to NEVER buy from this seller again WITHOUT asking for pics, BUT he was pefectly honest to me about the male's profile (which I DID ask about) so I can't complain to much. I plan to cross the male into the red marble line, which in the last three generations has shown no such defects at all. The purple gas line might be more of a problem as the father of the current generation has a slightly shorter body which may indicate DT geno already, but again, no defects, so I'm willing to take the chance. Besides, dispite the spine issues this male is one of the better DT's listed lately in a color I can use.
