A while back, I tried to breed Sumi with her dad.
It was successful, but he munched. The second breeding produced wrapping, but no eggs.
But the two of them were happy in each others company, and I figgered sooner or later they would get to breeding again.
Then one day I found Sumi laid out flat on her side. She is a light bodied fish, and so it was easy to see a dark bruise running down the side of her body.. something internal.
I pulled her right away, and put her in intensive care.. With in a day, she could prop herself up, and I increased her water gradually to 2 inches..
But that was all she could handle.
Last night, I took a look at her, and she was swimming well, and so I said, why not, I can always drop the water level, and gave her 5 inches, and she is swimming JUST FINE!!!
No swim bladder issues, nothing!!!
I am so happy!!!
Now I can start reconditioning her for another round with Koi Boi...
I also need to get her bred to her uncle Evo.
Still, I am so happy that she has made a full recovery.
:WOU :Y Good for her I'm happy for you
Thanks guys.
I am happy that she has recovered.
Even if I never get babies off her, she is one of my special fish.
