I was just checking out the girls in the new heifer tank, and though I knew it, seeing them all together brought home something I have noticed, but not commented on..
You can se the difference in breeding betwen the different fish.
For example,I have two sisters from Al, form his NR cross and a pure plat cousin.
They all look alike, body and face.
All the Throttle girls look alike.
The other girls look vastly different from those.
The one that looks the most different is the Thai girl, Sue..
She is long and linky, not at all my usual body type, especially when compared to the American bred girls, they all, even the little girl, Skinny Minny, have the thickness I like.
Halo, even though she is related to the Throttles,,has her own look. I am thinking that is because though they are related, and line bred on that same choc PK, she is not bred as tight on him as the Throttles, and has a different admixture in them.. The Throttles are pretty much mostly Bettysplendens stock, where as Halo isn't as tight on her breeding at all.
OK, to bed with me, I just thought I ould share that.
