Title: Pithecolobium Dulce Bark & Acacia Catechu
Description: Promote Health & Harder Scales?

yoksthedopest - April 12, 2007 09:32 PM (GMT)
I ordered some Pithecolobium Dulce Bark & Acacia Catechu Extract from an Ebay Seller almost a month ago and had not received it yet.

Was wondering if anyone here has had experience with either one.

From the quick research I did, both appear to have tannic acids and have medicinal properties!! I would think it has the same effect on fish?

In any case, I will be letting you guys know my results/experiences, once I recieve it ^_^

I haven't heard of it, sorry..
I am more concerned that you might have been duped.. a MONTH ago, almost??
That is unheard of.

That's very true. I've never had anything that long. Did you pay through Paypal? If so, I'd file on it now.

Ok, I messaged the guy the other day, asking when I should be expecting the package and he said 3-4 days and he will check---

Well, before I decided to buy from him, I read his feedback and a couple people complained about slow shipping, but otherwise he had pretty good responses so I thought, he seems trustworthy...

It IS comming from overseas, but I mean, I have ordered stuff from like, China and Japan, with no problem and actually, and arrived even sooner than I expected!
So this, to me, is unnaturally long delay.... but we will see  Thanks for looking out though, you guys

You're :WEL .
I hope it does show up soon.

Jeez... it finally came in the mail yesterday..........

I don't know what to do with it.

Kind of hesitant to give it to my boys... I'm considering "rescuing" a betta from Petsmart or Petco and try that out.... don't want him to be the guinea pig or anything, I just want to be cautious, because I read his feedback on Ebay and a Buyer complained, "1 month and 1 week late AND the bark got my fish sick!"

That is pretty much why I am kind EHH about it.... what should I do?

This sounds harsh.. but try the pet store betta. Better yet, if you have bred, (I forget), and have one that is not breeding quality, try it on him..
I say this, because I have seen VTs kept in conditions that would make a HM keel over dead just to think about it.. and the VT not even blink... Thems some hardy buggers.
Of course, it the VT gets sick, you know for sure a show bred is going to.. but just cause the VT didn't get sick, doesn't mean the show bred isn't going to..
If that made sense.

HUH :NOPE

OK.. VTs in general are more hardy than HMs.
So if something makes a VT sick, it will probably make a HM sick as well.
But because they are more hardy than HMs, if a VT does NOT get sick, a HM might still get sick, being more delicate than the VT.

Ok, bella, thank you ^_^

I am going to find a VT at the LFS and give him the bark...

I will keep this Thread updated! :bettafish
