Title: Color Scheme
Description: I can't see the text in My Contols
yoksthedopest - April 11, 2007 05:58 PM (GMT)
Hey guys,
I am still trying to get familiar with the interface on the Forums, I am having a hard time reading the links in My Controls, because the brown and green colors blend in. I usually have to "highlight" the text with my cursor/mouse.
I mean, am I the only person with this problem!??!
I tried to look for another color scheme, but can't find one.
I don't know what I am doing... :NOPE
This is what I see.......... (Don't mind the white part, sorry, using MSPaint at work)

Can you help me? It's hard for me to see the links :please2
Let me know if that makes sense or if I am doing something wrong k :Thank: :reading

Well, interestingly enough, we are possibly starting a contest designing a new banner and color scheme. As far as changing that, I don't think that's possible. I don't have any difficulty reading it myself.
Ah yes, I see now where you're looking at that. Sorry, I guess I'm not there enough to have it bother me much. I do know there are no choice selections on color themes here.
Sowwy I'm not more helpful.

You see what I'm talking about though, right?
Deng, I have a hard time distinguishing the brown text from green background.
I'm not color blind, but the colors are so close...
The first link says "Compose New Message"
My face has to be right in the monitor!! :welcome ::hit :bonkers
:(
wildmagiclady - April 11, 2007 06:15 PM (GMT)
LOL Yeah, I do see what you're talking about. My eyes aren't great anymore (first thing to go after you reach 40) but I can see that ok. Especially when I hover my cursor over it and it changes colors.
Hopefully if we go with a new color scheme it will be one easier for you to see.
yoksthedopest - April 11, 2007 06:19 PM (GMT)
Yah... well, my eyes are garbage... haha I actually only have one contact on also, but even when I had both, I still can't see!!! ::hit
I am not complaining about size, it's the COLORS, but YAH thank you :P

I can fix that for now, but yes, we are planning to hold a contest where you get choose color scheme and make a new header banner to go with it!
The menu background has been changed to the off-white color, so it shouldn't be hard to read it now. Anything else for now?

OH, um, when I log in,
even when I check "yes" to keep me logged in,
I have to keep logging in whenever I come back to the site.
What am I doing wrong?
:H
:Thank:

If you are running IE, that may be the problem.
IE drops this boards cookies after a certain amount of time.
Switch to firefox.. it's much better, less pop ups (I get maybe one a day, total, depending on where I am surfing), and it doesn't drop your cookies.

dito
How funny is that? I was just advising Nutty to use Firefox because she's having issue with IE. IE is evil!
nutty - April 12, 2007 03:13 PM (GMT)
I was just thinking the same thing! I just have to talk my kids into it. So far I've been out voted. I'll have to show them the posts in here.

Once you get them to use it they'll like it too, it's really much smoother and faster.
Haeun - April 12, 2007 06:07 PM (GMT)
I agree; and the tabs function in firefox = very smooth. In IE, the tab function feels very laggy and more of a burden.

Well, I'm at work, so I can't mess with the browser... :bonkers

Woohoo! Cool! You're all going to love it I promise. :WOU
LaBella - April 13, 2007 06:00 AM (GMT)
Oh yeah, the TABS!!!! I LOVE them, it is like having 5 windows open...
I can have 3 windows open, with 5 tabs going in each of them...
I am FINALLY getting the most out of the net!!, lol.
nutty - April 13, 2007 10:50 AM (GMT)
I got it! So far so good! I had tabs with IE too, which I LOVE! This is great that I don't have to log into everything! Cookies without the calories! Life is good! This doesn't have an arrow over on the bottom of the page, but that's minor. I'll just have to rearrange the windows on my screen. I gotta have my free cell! ;)
wildmagiclady - April 13, 2007 02:17 PM (GMT)
Yay! Glad you're liking it. Let me know if you have any troubles. I'm always glad to help out. :)
