This guy wouldn't cooperate with me but I got a good picture of his rays. Breed worthy?

I'm not getting a good look at him but I'd say yes. Of course, it always depends on what you're wanting to achieve also.

Out of curiosity does he have steel wash?

wildmagiclady - April 10, 2007 02:32 PM (GMT)
I'm not seeing that Pou, where do you see that?

pouhamu - April 10, 2007 02:58 PM (GMT)
In the first picture between the webbing. I dunno he just looks more steely in the webbing to me than royal. (but that is just me) :) I know it happens I was just wondering if he had any since it is a common thing with irids. Besides I really like steel more than royal ane that is probably why I'm trying to give him more steel. ^_^

*gets out glasses*
*looks closer*

Hmmm.. yeah, I do see what you mean there, but, he is still Royal.

It's hard to tell tone in written posts especially when you don't know the people. Aiwen I just wanted to make sure you knew I wasn't criticizing you or your fish I was just asking questions to learn.

wildmagiclady - April 10, 2007 05:37 PM (GMT)
I don't think Ai is over sensitive, she'll know what you meant. :)

I've noticed that with ALOT of fish the rays are a slightly different color than the fins. My avatar, for example when he still had finns *sniffle sniffle over the sacrifice*, his fin color was a dark purple/blueish tone, but the rays were a bright steal blue. And I have noticed that that has held tryue for all of the fish that I received from that seller. By two metalic steal blue girls, their rays are slightly darker than their fins. It's nothing major, it's just something that I guess is common in dark colored fish?

Okay, everyone's Assignment (humor me please): If you have dark bodied bettas at home, weather it is irredecent or metalic or whatever, go and look closely at the rays on their caudal. Are they a slightly different color? Yes or No?

Ai,
I like him, he seems to have a nicely balanced form, all his rays look to be equal length, and have equal reduction.
I say go for it!

Wowee, nice find. :) I caught myself thinking "If that boy was bred to my royal blue HMPK girl... Royal Blue HMCTPK!!! :WOU" I have to control myself. :OO :OO :OO And I need to get babies from the royal blue pair first. <_<

wildmagiclady - April 10, 2007 08:04 PM (GMT)
:lolo: Haeun, you sound so much like me. I sit in the fishroom thinking, I was just doing that. :lolo:

AiWen - April 10, 2007 10:56 PM (GMT)
Oh no problem Pou, I know what you mean, and I'm over sensitive heh :) I actually prefer steel too, but there were none. I believe RBs will throw out steels so I got him. Might breed him to a Blue/White marble CT girl and so what I get once my copper x fighter kids are big enough to move out :P

wildmagiclady - April 11, 2007 05:10 AM (GMT)
Is your blue white marble girl from Opaque? I'm really wanting to do clouds.

Put that tongue back in your mouth young lady!
:P That's my job!

AiWen - April 11, 2007 05:30 AM (GMT)
Back in it goes :)

Actually she is not opaque based because she has a purplish tint/irid sort of thing going on. I've bred them once before and they were extremely sweet with no aggression at all, but the male ate all the eggs <_<

This time, I'll pull him. I can't afford to lose all of them again.

wildmagiclady - April 11, 2007 03:03 PM (GMT)
Ok, I want to hear what you get. ;)
