Title: A Couple Bettas For Sale.
Description: Need to down size a little.

SandyMushCowgirl - April 7, 2007 08:21 PM (GMT)
Well, they're only trad. PKs. They are only around 1 1/4" - 1 1/2" in length.
The first I've been trying to let go of for a little while. He has marbled slightly since this picture was taken, so he's got pale copper/black in his fins. Right now I can't really get any new pictures of him because I have no way to edit/crop them. Otherwise I would.

Also I have a copper/red male for sale. He has less bright red than this male, and more copper. Again I would take pictures of him if I had a way to edit/crop them.

Both are $5 each. Shipping can either be priority ($10) or express ($20). Will add heat pack if necessary.
They are listed on another site.

Very cute!

I'm back. Man, look at all the stuff going on in my absence! :o

yeevia2006 - April 8, 2007 07:01 AM (GMT)
That white cutie is cute! Do you call that opaque? ^_^

SandyMushCowgirl - April 8, 2007 09:21 PM (GMT)
Thanks y'all.

Really... I don't know what to call it's color. I would say opaque or cellophane (I haven't read up on the terms lately), what would YOU call it??

yeevia2006 - April 8, 2007 09:25 PM (GMT)
I always lost in those color since those are not my expert area. Are they cellophane or opaque or white, or platinum white, I have no idea. I only know red and blue. LOL :lolo:

SandyMushCowgirl - April 8, 2007 09:27 PM (GMT)
LOL.. There ya' go... I can tell those colors for the most part too... :lolo: And copper too.. :D

LaBella - April 8, 2007 10:24 PM (GMT)
More a cello, and less an opaque.
Opaque is a hard, solid white. Cello is a more see through clear lack of color.
Platinum is metallic shine over opaque.

Pastel is a fun one.. NOT...
HERE is an article about pastels and opaques.

All pictures from bettysplendens, with the exception of the platinum, which is from great white bettas.

Thanks for all the help Bella. I'll have new pics up shortly.

yeevia2006 - April 9, 2007 04:26 AM (GMT)
YES. Pastel and Cello are very hard to identified. :P

SandyMushCowgirl - April 9, 2007 04:41 AM (GMT)

Sandy, your lines carry alot of copper, I'm guessing either Plat or cello for him, the Plat because of hte copper/metalic, and the cello for the clearness of his fins. Pretty sure he's not opaque, and I don't think pastel applies either.

Oh they are so cute. If I was not getting that female Crowntail from Jamie I would go for one of them. they are really cute.

wildmagiclady - April 9, 2007 04:13 PM (GMT)
dito what Ruth said. I would have immediately said Platinum. For me, it's fairly easy to tell them apart.
I was about to ask if you had copper in your lines because this is where Platinum comes from.
I really like that cutie. Is it a female? How old?

ruthcatrin - April 9, 2007 05:11 PM (GMT)
A heavily coppered Platinum can be mistaken for an Opaque till you get it in the right light and the copper shows, I've made that mistake, but Opaque generally has steel in its background which I dont' recall seeing in any of your fish, but I DO know there's copper there. Pastel tends to be a softer more even color than either opaque or cello (even as in accross the fins is more solid than the cello, but not as heavy as the opaque) and doesn't usually hve the copper/metalic of the Plat's.

I'm pretty sure they're both males.
And yes this line carries a lot of copper.. :D

wildmagiclady - April 10, 2007 05:14 AM (GMT)
Well, I'm really interested in him. How recent is the photo, can you get a closer up one?
LOL

I am totally lost. I need to get all the 4 different type of betta in real and look carefully with my glasses and magnifying which is which.
What to do. I am not into white color yet. :lolo:

wildmagiclady - April 10, 2007 02:29 PM (GMT)
I'm not a big opaque or pastel fan. I am a big metallics fan and I would love to have some truly pure cellos. They are actually fairly hard to come across anymore, the cellos that is.

I really hate to tell you this, but someone just snatched him up. If anything happens that the person ends up not getting him, you'll be the first to know. Or if I end up with any more like him I'll let you know.

wildmagiclady - April 10, 2007 08:13 PM (GMT)
:(

Thanks for the heads up though.
