Title: Warnings System

Haeun - April 6, 2007 10:38 AM (GMT)
After some thought, we have decided it has become necessary to implement a system of warnings.

All offenses of forum rules, including (but not limited to) lack of civility toward other members, libel, gossip, and general ill-will, will be followed with a warning.
  • Each and every member will be allowed two "pre-warnings." These are simply verbal warnings detailing what you might have done wrong.
  • The third warning will be your first official warning. The first official warning will strip you of your priveleges and access.
  • The third official warning will ban you for a week.
  • The fifth official warning will ban you for a month.
  • Each consequential warning will ban you for an additional month.
  • The 10th official warning will ban you for life.

Each warning can be appealed to the administrators only. If you feel that the warning had been unfairly issued, please PM one of the administrators with
(1) reasons why you feel that the warning was unfair, and
(2) evidence towards your innocence (if applicable).
Please also include any additional circumstantial information.

While we would like to not deal with warnings and bans and other administrative pishposh, recent activities blatantly breaking the UniqueBetta mission statement and UniqueBetta forum rules, and thus offending other members, force us to implement this system. We hope that with this system, we can help each other have a good time.

Yes, and I should say the system is fair. It gives you plenty of opportunities before you get severe consequences, and there is a way to reverse the process (though the marks against you will be permanent).

If a member stripped of priveleges and access demonstrates good behavior and good citizenship, the member can petition to regain rights. The administrators can review the petition and decide if the member will be restored the rights.

If anyone thinks anything is unfair, please do speak up. I personally do not think any of this is unfair.
