hey guys I don't know alot about HMPK's but i think i want to add a pair to my order, here is one marble I like ..let me know what you guys think.

His caudal could be a little more sharper, but looks pretty good to me. :) If you want to make a line with them, you can try crossing a good steel blue HM with a good sharp edge in. ^_^

I was going to say the same about his caudal edges.
But they can be forgiven, taken the rest of him
He is certainly a breedable fish, and one that many wouldn't have a problem having.

I'm like the boy who cried Betta , I'm going to end not buying anything, I haven't found something that just knocks my socks off, i don't want a HMPK with rounded edges,. I do LOVE is coloring. but i'm sure theres a better one outthere, :ninja so the Look continues for a good HMPK marble Pair. I'm trying to buy as close to perfect and start from there. Its just what I prefer to do, so far I'm buying nothing, this Tax money is burning a whole in mY Pocket YALL :LOL:

Hi there,

I am new here, but if you are still thinking about getting the betta in the link and really like it, then go for it. I have been around some very correct bettas that just didn't catch my interest like some others that were less than ideal for show standards. I would rather breed to improve on something I really like than get something that is nice that I may not like as much if that makes any sense.

Anyhow, best of luck- that is a very handsome guy.

Yeah. I get people telling me to go for finnage first and I'm sure it does make perfect sense. But I am very into colors and if I find a color strain I want to pursue I believe I can improve the finnage.
Course, I always did like to do things my own way, even if it is backwards.

I ended not buying anything, In regards to laurens post I currently have two spawns now that I will be working on "improving" so i agree it is fun, but I don't want to keep buying fish that need work, I have plenty of them now that I will have fun working with, I just wanted something Show quality since I have the means to buy a pair currently, but I'm waiting until the pair comes along i'm in no rush, B)

Have you been to a show yet big?
I ask that, because I went to the convention last year, and you ould be surprised.
There were fish no better than the fish WE all have, and breed.
If I had more showable fish, I would show, but I wanted to send at least 5 fish per show.. and I don't have that many to show.

Excuses excuses.. just send some Belle. :P

When I have 5 showable ones, I will..
Right now, I have two that are good fish...
But I didn't breed them.
And I have one more female that every one liked at the betta meeting, though I think her sister is better.
And I have my two young guys that aren't anywhere near show size.
If I can grow them up in a month, maybe...
If not, than not.
