Title: Very Sad
davenia7 - March 30, 2007 01:54 PM (GMT)
So, my dojo loach decided to jump to freedom while I was at work a few days ago. I recently put a canister filter on the tank, and hadn't cut new needlepoint material to cover the back where the HOB used to be. I am very sad. I have had Snake since he was 3 inches long and he was 9 inches long. He walked over 4 feet from the tank, that's where I found his body, and it looked like the cat had a lil snack too. So, i guess a painful lesson was learned. Get the new top cut as soon as the new filter goes on, do not pass go, do not collect $200.

I'm sorry to hear about Snake! It's hard losing finned family! Thanks for sharing the reminder to not procrastinate on things. Its a reminder that we all need from time to time. Its too bad Snake was the price!

I am sorry for your loss. The important thing is that it was an accident, that you did not mean for it to happen and that he was loved. Also, his death was not in vain, as you've learned something important. Take care *hugs*

Sorry 'bout your loss. I can't imagine coming home to something like that. Thanks for sharing it so newbies to this art of fish loving can learn from it.
