I do not like having to write this, but it seems as though I must.
One of our members was accused of plagiarizing the work of a member of another board… Though the post was removed, and apologies issued. I think that a word should be mentioned about netiquette.
If you are copy/pasting someone else’s work, please give them full credit. This is the only right thing to do.
If someone gives you something, they claim to be theirs, make sure you say, given to me by my friend, so and so.
And please, if something seems to be out of line, let one of us admins know before you go running to the person who you believe wrote the offending article.
That is what we are here for, and we cannot do our job if you don’t inform us of potential problems.
Also, I have noticed something I am finding quite concerning. We all know each other, more or less through other boards. And it would seem that some people have taken problems that they have had with other people on other boards, and brought them here.
I have seen people falling into the same cliques that they were in on other boards.
That is NOT when Unique is about. We are ALL one clique.
If you have a problem with someone you know from another board, just ignore them.
If you believe that person might possibly be involved with something unethical, inform US, the admins. It is unfair, and inflammatory to spread past business on another board to other members of THIS board. But WE the admins need to know, and if there is a problem, then WE will take care of it. Again, that is what we are here for.
Please understand that we are all fallible, we all make mistakes, and there is two sides to every story.. This is a place where everyone is to be made welcomed. And I think it would behoove us to leave bad business on other boards there on other boards.
I think we have something good happening here at Unique, but it takes YOU to continue to show the Unique spirit that makes this board so different.
The number one thing we offer is the freedom to exchange information, without feeling as though we are going to be ragged on for the choices we make, but we must remember to give proper credit, when the information we share is not our own.
We must also remember to let bygones be bygones, and allow someone the chance to start fresh.
This is NOT a popular kids club, and I think we all have the maturity to allow for civility when faced with someone we don’t care for.
This is the best place I know of on the net, and you all make me proud to be a part of this board. And I truly appreciate the time you have put into making this place so great.
But if we are to continue to make this the great place it is, some concessions must be allowed, and certain rules need to be followed. And a the risk of repeating myself, if you see something that might be a potential problem for Unique, please let us, the admins know, so that we can handle it, before it becomes a problem.

Thanks Bella for taking the time out and writing this. It it needed to be pinned and you did quite an eloquent job. As you mentioned we are all freinds here . That is why I included no member, mod, admin or other web site bashing in the rules of the forum. Maybe we can make a link to the rules page when someone registers so they need to read the rules before they join. Just an idea.
