More of a big pic.

It's a Eclipse hex-5 tank. It sits on my nightstand. I have since added a Yellow Watchman goby and a bunch of corals.

My livestock is:
2 baby Oscellaris clownfish
1 Yellow Watchman Goby
2 blue-legged hermit crabs
2 scarlet-legged hermit crabs.
4 Nassarius snails.
2 Nerite snails.
5-6 colonies of zoanthids
4 mushroom corals
1 large colony of green star polyp
1 colony of yellow polyp
and some chaetomorphia macro algae.

I think that's it, but can one ever be sure???

Oh I forgot my hitchhikers:
2 bristleworms and 3 asterina starfishes.

:) You should post pictures AFTER the corals! I want to see! Should look so cool!

Is it hard to set up a saltwater tank? I want to do one, but seems to require a lot more care and money. :(

Hey dav!

I wanted to ask you.... would a 5 gallon be too small still for one clown? I see you have two babies but i know they will get bigger.. what do you plan for them?

I would love to see after photos as well :3

My baby clowns and my Yellow Watchman already have new mamas picked out for once they are grown up. I am a member of a local saltwater club. So, I already have parents for them for in about 9 more months when they grow up. Also, bc I raised them from babies. One became female and one stayed male, so they are a pair.
My Yellow Watchman, Sam, he's too cute.

I promise I will have more pics once my camera phone usb download cord gets here next week.

As far as additional time goes, it's not too bad... it's just expensive and you have to test water daily and your temps 3 times a day. I use strip tests daily.. not as accurate as i'd like, but since i go through a pack a week between my tanks, they don't have time to really go bad.
Then I use my master kit on Saturdays.
Also, you have all the same tests needed plus I test for phosphates and salinity too.
I buy my water RO/DI saltwater from the LFS at like $1 per gallon. I change 2-3 gallons every 2 weeks.
Cost wise, I have spent a couple hundred dollars on everything to upgrade the tank. But that's including coral and fish. So, it wasn't terrible.
To compare, after plants and the new filter I bought, my angelfish 29 gal. tank has cost me a few hundred to upgrade too... so not horrible.

If anyone is curious, this is a good site for info on nanos: www. nanotanks.com
