Title: A Divider for Breeding.

Yes. I am using divider to force the girl to breed with the male as always. There is no point to have a big space to breed. Else the female just having fun and keep hiding in the plant.
Before you doing this, you need to know what you are breeding. Giant Plakat is more attack so don't use divider in 12 hours. If everything ok, then start to dividing them half of the tank.
Here some pictures to show you how I do mine. I bought those weaving craft plastic net in craft section at Walmart. You can get those in hobby lobby too. Just few cents per piece.

For me, I prefered 1/2 of 10 gallon tank first. Then after 12 hours, skringe down to 1/3 space for them to breed. Therefore, she had no place to run so she have to give up and breed with the male.
This is good for halfmoon pair too. Just keep an eye when breeding beginning. Don't let they bite off like crazy. Used you instinct. When the female really need help from near killing by the male, take her out.
I usually put the girl into a a 4" diam plactic tube. I get those in aquabid in breeding section. You can use oil lamp glass chimney too.
I am also using 5 gallon tank to breed and you can see how they look like. Just put into the tank and divide the space.

Karah Mommy. you are welcome. I will keep up dating more stuff when I can.
Did you noticed that I am using a cut out piece plate foam for the betta to make bubbles? Those are great than the bubblewraps. Betta will make bubble under it. I will talk more about that. :)

Just a word of warning when using dividers: Make SURE you support the divider properly, or the divider will fall and may destroy the bubble nest.

This happened to me with in a spawning tank.

I have divided 2 pairs in a 10 gallon, and either the male is chasing the female all around and desproying the nest, or they dont even look at eachother, its been so long, that now I have to wash the tank out and try again, but when the females were jared in there, the males made reasonably sized nests, but after, they just destoryed them and dident even try to rebuild them like before...any suggestions?
