Title: Betta Girlies

So, I've posted this before on other sites... it always get interesting responses...
I love girl bettas much more than the boys. I know that kinda makes me wierd but they are soooooo active and full of personality. The boys go into lazy mode unless they are surrounded with girls, so having lots of girls even makes the boys more interesting. Currently, my 1 male at home is in the center section of a tri-divided tank with 4 juvie girls on one side and his hopeful future mate on the other side.
The girls are soooo funny.
Only thing, they need lids sooooo much more than the boys. You haven't seen a betta jump till you've seen a girl do it...
Then again, you haven't seen a fish jump till you've seen a dojo loach do it. 22 inches from the top of the tank and onto the floor during a WC... don't ask
Anyways... the question... how do you feel about the girlies?
Good for mating, not much else?
Same as the boys?

Female bettas are some of my favorites too. When a male flares though, it takes my breath away. On the other hand, I have definitely seen more of a personality in my females. They are really curious little fish. They love swimming in between my fingers. lol

The males are breathtaking, for sure, but the girls, they have all the personality in the world.
i would have to say I like my girls alittlemore than I like my boys, because they just sparkle when it comes to their aditude.

I :wub: my BIG girl Suagrpie she has a place on a book shelf(now a betta shelf lol) right next to me on my couch so she hangs with me all day, and i watch her swim & do weird things. :blink: so I know what you mean, Butwhen the male is being a good daddy it feels me with so much joy and All i want to do is watch him take care of his babies :T :bettafish babies.

Thats tough, lol, I love them both!! The boys are stunning and a lot of my boys have as much personality as my girls. But the girls are adorable, I love watching them interact with eachother!! So I plead the 5th :OO

I love the girls too. They do have lot of personality and are more attentive to you.
