So tomorrow I'm getting 4 bettas from Richard smart as part of betta pals , I got Hooked up with him through the program and he asked what colors I liked beucase he had few colors and styles he would give me, so i emailed him back i would like Black/white green marbles if you got them, but I would take quality over colors and he emailed me back "do you trust me?" :LOL: and I replied "YES," and I just got a reply saying he was sending 2 pairs and he said one was Copper marble butterfly pair and the dad WON 1st place in his class last year and the 2pair he neve said what they were? and I didn't want to ask after all he was so generous sending 2 pairs and what i'm sure is quality stock, so it will be fun to open the bag and see what I get. I'm very excited :WOW: it's like christmas. :LOL: Plus he gave me a great deal on shipping, overall what a great expereince for a new IBC member.

To all of the Betta Pal bettas come from him? I REALLY wish I could join the IBC!!! That is why I am trying VERY hard to win the competitions so that I can get a Junior membership, courtesy of LaBella. :)

hey MuMu no all the Bettas don't come from him, actually he is really really nice , RC knows more about it, but from my dealings with it, i joined in jan and then sent the Betta pals guy an email and a few weeks later he emailed and aked what kind of fish I wanted I said marbles of any color and he said that would be easy, so Then he emailed me last week and asked if i was still inetrested I said yes and then he gives you the conatct info of the person he matched you up with, and you talk with them, but mostly the program is based on teh generosity of IBC members and they only say you will get a pair of Bettas no gaurentees on color of ,style or QUAILITY of stock. i just got lucky Richard was excited about giving a newbie quality fish to work with and that richard is so generous, but JD the guy who runs originally emailed me with a message that said I have the red pair for you here is the contact info, so I emailed him back saying I was not interested in reds thanks for trying to get me a marble pair, but i already have some great marbels now I'm working with anyways so i don't need any bettas from the program and he immediately emailed back saying " i think i lost my marbles" i got you confused with someone else i have the marbles for you, and gave me richards info, so I'm pretty sure you take what they can get to you, but they try if the stock is available, but it all depends on how fast you want them and what breeders have donated what colors and quality is not gaureented I think its mostly stock breeders will not use, but i'm sure they all have good genetics and it just depends on the person yo get matched up with, Its looks to be a pretty amazing program that i'm sure takes alot of work, cuz you all know how crazy :bonkers and demanding people can be. :bettafish

Did you email JD Bella? I know he was looking for lots of fish...maybe he just didn't notice in all the stuff he must get for requests.

No they don't all come from Richard, they come from many breeders. I frequently send them out too. Just sent a pair yesterday. ;)

Oh Wow! I think he's sending you marbles from my Half Sun Copper Male who won at his show last fall, then he bought him, got two spawns from him and I bought him back! LOL! Us betta people!

Richard is a totally awesome guy. He helped me get my first import shipment since I didn't have my license yet. He's very cool!

Wow Guys, i just got them still in the box 3 PAIRS :o :WOW: so I will post pics later, But labella he did send me one pair i can breed and the other two pairs are Juvies Probably 2months old there young, which Is fine with me Becuase I'm not breeding anymore fish for a while, I have my hands full with this new spawn and don't want to burn out, since I'm new to this. But I wil tell you guys what i got 1 marbel Copper pair, 1 steel Blue male, 1 turquise marble BF male, 2 blue marble females. very exciting I can't wait until get there full color back, Pics Tonight.

I was :JK , but I did get a letter asking if I would donate, and I said sure, and told him what I had, and I have been waiting to hear back from whom ever would be interested, and nothing.
