Title: Betta Revive

davenia7 - March 21, 2007 02:07 AM (GMT)
So, I wanted to post this so that some others may benefit.
About 6 months ago, Plato, my probably giant, black lace, VT male, started doing that betta depression thing where he wouldn't eat and would only leave the bottom for air. Not good, huh?
Well, there was no physical issues to tip me off to the problem. On the advice of a guy at my LFS, I tried Betta Revive. (Warning: contains methyl blue and will dye rocks).
This product is an anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and an anti-parasitic all in one.
The day after the first treatment, Plato was back to eating and swimming and being his usual silly self. I finished the 3 day treatment and did the WC.
It's been 6 months and Plato may be a daddy by the summer.
I know a lot of people worry about treating when you don't know the problem... especially with an all in one type med... but i think this med saved my betta and I just wanted to share the experience.
So often, bettas will not show any signs and just waste away.
I was very satisfied with the results, so I have added my testamonial.
Mods, I dunno if I posted this in the right place, if not, feel free to move it.
:D

Awesome. It's great to hear about things that work as opposed to the sadder stories of loss.
Appreciate the good word most definitely!
