Are all the pictures of the copper the same fish ? The first and second caudals look like two different fish.

The bicolor CT has pretty good color, but it has a some bleeding of the body color into the fins. The caudal doesn't look to have much spread, but the web reduction looks good in all the fins.

The marbling on the white/black CT needs to be spread on the body much more and the dorsal is all one color. The web reduction needs to be more. 50% is what to look for. The caudal is also rounded so if your looking to breed "HM" CT then that some thing to really work on.

RC, not to critique your critique, but I believe the marble CT is a CTPK.
Has the IBC come up with a standard for the CTPK?
Last I knew they were to be shown in form and finnage.
I could be wrong, but I was just wondering about the 50% reduction you stated on that one.
And if he is not a CTPK, than forget it, I would say you are right on the money, lol.
(Like I would know)
Thanks by the by, for putting your time into giving us a judges eye for our fish. Believe me, it is appreciated.

Oh, and the copper is the same fish. Look at the anal, it has a weird little sticking out ray at the end of the anal near the tail in every picture.

I think I miss spoke. He is a CT I should have said if you are looking to breed CTPK w/ a HM type caudal ie 180spread, straight edges. The 50% web reduction is what is the ideal for CT. 33% is the least amount of web reduction for a plakat. The IBC doesn't have a CTPK standard. They still would be shown in the variation class. Form and finnage is a class for GREAT examples of form and color is not judged.

Well, I do agree that more webbing reduction is something that should be workd on with his boy, but he is a good start.
And I see now about the edges.
That is one thing I like about having you around. I get to go past Ooohhh Pretty fishie, lol.
So if you were presented with a CTPK, how would you judge it if there are no set standards for it?
Or... should that go into another topic?
OK, I know color is color, and I know that I would judge them by the standard of the type of PK they are mostly (because most PKs are not quite 100& one type, lol), but then what?
How do you judge the crowning? By, say... female CT standards?

I leave the critiquing to others.

I love marbles.
