These were sketched in pencil, then inked over with a black ball point pen, and the pencil was erased..Figured out my light source and colored it.

Maybe deeper shadows will help bring out the color in the pictures? I love the subtle highlights already, but perhaps deeper shadows will make a larger contrast?

The secret to coloring well is to use tiny, soft circles, to give it a smooth and not-scratchy look, and when you wanna make it darker, press slightly harder and just keep going over that area again and again. Tis like, the holiest of secrets when it comes to coloring pencils.

I had been thinking about beading, but then I discovered the vid setting on my camera, lol.

you should try beading, it's VERY fun. I actually made my own beading loom with a shoe box and tooth picks. ^_^ Though I haven't had enough beads to do anything more witjh it, though.

Oh, no, you misunderstand, I DO beading.. I just haven't done anything for a while.
On my old computer, I had pics of the Christmas ball I used to make.
I also make collar and candle sheathes... And bead flowers.
I just haven't done anything for a while..
And just when I was about to pick it back up.. I discovered the video settings on my camera, lol.
