LaBella - March 24, 2007 02:10 PM (GMT)
If you go to PetFish.net, they have a shimp section, and they might have tips on how to help the babies survive and grow.
yeevia2006 - March 24, 2007 02:38 PM (GMT)
You all should raise some red shrimps. They are so cute and I am using 10 gallon tank with a lot of plants. I was watching them before I go to sleep. The males keep swimming and running round and round the tank like summer olympic. The females keep seating on the same area. Eating, grooming the eggs. LOL
It looks like few females are carrying eggs. The temperature of mine read 78 F. No heater by the way. Just my house set at near 80. ^_^
I don't think I see any baby shrimp yet.
MObetta122 - March 24, 2007 07:21 PM (GMT)
They remind me of lil cooked lobsters mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm dang im hungry again! :ROCK
yeevia2006 - March 31, 2007 09:13 AM (GMT)

I saw some females also carrying eggs too!!! :welcome :welcome :welcome
I am so excited! So easy to raise those shrimps. I haven't change any water since I move them into the 10 gallon tank. :lolo:

bettaqueen - April 2, 2007 04:30 PM (GMT)
Congrats on the babies. Yeevs. I just hope they don't become betta snacks before they get bigger
yeevia2006 - April 3, 2007 03:12 AM (GMT)
This is a 10 gallon tank that only have red cherry shrimps and few spixi snails only. No bettas. :welcome
yeevia2006 - April 3, 2007 03:22 PM (GMT)
OK. I forgot to turn on the light yesterday and when I turn on today, I saw at least 14 babies red shrimps on the wall tank eating. Some are bigger and they are really can be independant already. ;)
AiWen, How is your ghost shrimps? Are they multiply yet? ^_^ I think it is easy to raise red cherry shrimps. ^_^
AiWen - April 3, 2007 08:11 PM (GMT)
CUTE!!! Yeah my ghosties are already grown up. Same size as mommy now so I can't tell which is which :lolo:
yeevia2006 - April 3, 2007 08:31 PM (GMT)
I think they are easy to raise. I was a shock to see the size of the baby red shrimps. I think in a month they will be like the adult sizes. Do you know how long they live? less than one year or more than a year? ^_^
I am waiting for Haeun CS shrimp!!! Yeah!! Breed!!! HURRY. Power them up Haeun. LOL :lolo:
bettaqueen - April 3, 2007 08:34 PM (GMT)
AiWen do your bettas bother your shrimp or do you have them seperated
AiWen - April 3, 2007 08:43 PM (GMT)
Yeah my bettas bother my shrimp... horribly.
Mumusuki's girlie started a trend in my sorority...

Excuse the ugly blurry pictures, they were towards the inside of the tank and the lights weren't on.
pouhamu - April 3, 2007 09:08 PM (GMT)
LOL pretty good pics considering!!!! My girls don't bother the adults.............but the babies are tasty snacks!
bettaqueen - April 3, 2007 09:09 PM (GMT)
yup I was thinking of going to Walmart and getting one or two adults to see how my female reacted to them
AiWen - April 3, 2007 09:17 PM (GMT)
If your females eat like pigs, it's not gonna be prety :lolo: Cause my piggies are the ones that usually explore the tank for MORE food after meals
bettaqueen - April 3, 2007 09:24 PM (GMT)
Thanks AiWen. then they might do better in with my boy. I guess I won't know till I try. They are only 25 cents at Wall mart so I guess I will experiment
