So what do you think, RC? He's traditional plakat type, and he actually has 2 ray branching in the dorsal.. He's a slight shovelhead.

Well the first thing is his body shape. He has shovel head problem, but also the body is thin for a tradional plakat. He's more of a splendens body. The caudal seems to have a has a problem in that area where it looks like one ray didn't branch at all , or it's a physical defect in the caudal. The anal needs a much longer point on the back end. The ventrals should be 2/3 the body length so his are short. The dorsal is pretty near what the standards call for, but we really don't want any secondary branching on the fish anyplace but the caudal and then we only want secondary max.
