Title: Yeevs sent me a flying betta!

Last week Yeevs sent me some snails and a betta. Well, the betta ended up being my 15 year old son's. We discovered a couple days ago it does tricks for food! At feeding time if you hold food just about 1-2 inches above the water the betta flies out of the water to grab it! Once he hit the glass and didn't jump as far the next time, but he still jumps! :o I've never seen a betta jump clear out of the water, traveling about 2-3 inches! Has anybody else?

that is pretty cool. Will have to see if mine from Yeevs will do the same thing.

Yeah. All my bettas jumping one. You didn't know? LOL I just found out one of my female juvie jump out of the tank and she is on the floor for few days. The one I was planning to send it to Aiwen. She is a purple gas mustard hmpk. What else, she is dead and dry like salt fish.
Want me to take a picture to show you? :OO
AiWen, you still want her? I can send it in the email for 37 cents postage. :OO

Yeah, I am deathly scared of jumping fish because my room is carpeted... I don't want nasty fish chips all over my floor

dito I had to cover his tank. There is a female next to him. He started blowing a nest yesterday and I'm worried he's gonna try eloping with her! So far he only flies for food, thank goodness! :P :coverlaugh
Yeevs, you have a new great sales pitch! The amazing flying bettas! Hey! You could start a traveling betta circus! For small audiences, of course! :OO

..My little one-inch babies can jump some 5 inches or so high and another 5 inches across if I tease them enough.

Very scary. Especially when the floor is dirty, dusty, dry and ancient concrete. And there's a drain on the floor nearby.

I just put my hand above the rim and they come flying. Litterally. xD
