Title: Good Source For Betta Containers
bettas4me - January 28, 2007 12:34 PM (GMT)
I just bought 8 dozen containers from
these guys and love them. The square ones are best, especially for barracks or for limited spaces as they will fit closer together than round containers, but they have both and at reasonable prices!!
They only sell full cases and the price shown includes shipping in the US. Thumbsup

I got the 131 oz. size. It will hold slightly less than a gallon when I drill the drain holes in it. I bought them because I'm building a barracks. I just couldn't make myself put them into those tiny 4X4 beanie boxes. This size is about 5 1/2" square, which offers them a good bit more room.

WOW! How thick are they? Are they like beanie box too or plastic type? :P I like the size you mention. Bean box is good for juvie. :lolo:
bettas4me - February 6, 2007 11:39 PM (GMT)
No, they aren't thick like beannie boxes, but they're thicker and stiffer than a milk jug. I can't think of anything to compare them to, but they seem durable and not fragile at all.
I like the snap-on lids (kinda like a margarine cup) and the large openings.

So you have the "SG" correct?
I am thinking about buying 24 to use for jars for my next spawn.
bettas4me - February 9, 2007 11:59 PM (GMT)
That's the one!! I like the size, it holds just a splash less than a gallon to the bottom of the neck. (using milk jug to measure)

LOL Right now I AM using milk jugs for jarring. lol And I hate them.... well, I will just have to see if I really can buy some now... it is THESE or a package of IAL and some other things...
